Don’t worry guys everyone’s favourite decoy runner is training hard

Must have got his pay cheque today
He is still smiling

Hope he doesn’t waste it as I can’t see him getting another contract anywhere.

Going off the recent photos it looks like the squad has had a few players cut. Has there been any more news on the train and trial players, e.g. Gebbie, Tyrone Roberts Davis, Allan Fitzgibbon?

Edit: looks like Roberts Davis is there still.

That's good. Going off the comments the other day in relation to his social media I thought he may have been cut.

Saw on social that Fitzgibbon was late to training. Hope this doesn't set him back.

He was getting put through his paces as punishment.😆

All part of the learning and maturing as an NRL hopeful.hope he learns his lesson.

That wasn’t him I looked, it was another guy called Tyrone Davis who’s friends with Allan Fitzgibbon ? seems to be a lot of guys with the same name in that community lol.

Saw from one of the players he had 2 hours of extra 1 on 1 conditioning with Ronnie Palmer

With the work the club is putting into him, we must see a future with him.

It's normal for the youngsters to only train with the nrl squad up to christmas and then go back to their team training. Tumeth, OKane etc. SG ball starts in 4-5 weeks so they'll be training with that squad as well as flegg i imagine.

Edenn Rogers-Smith, Billy Stapleton and Kitione Kautoga all with first grade still. Would assume it’s cut down to just the top 30 and development players pretty soon, but there’s still a few train and trial boys and youngsters training with them, seems quite a few of the younger fellas are back training with juniors too though.

The POM mentioned in another thread coaching staff were happy with Fitzgibbon, could very well be upgraded to top 30 on minimum wage

Wouldn’t be against it at all. He’s young, super fast and has a really good vertical jump on him. We could do with a backup winger instead of having to move centres there. Probably would play reserves all year but gives him more of an opportunity to prove himself.

Me too. Read also he only started playing league about 3-4 years ago aswell, has been a sprinter majority of his life. Realistically he would probably be behind Talau, Momo, AJ etc but with a big year in reserves / or injuries and he could push for FG selection

Feels like we have a lot of depth in the outside backs and front row and are real light on in the second row, we are also manufacturing a number one. Makes sense to let Momo go if it means we pick up in those areas.

Area of most concern is definitely back row, but we don’t really have that many wingers. We’ve got Kepaoa and Nof, then our other options are Talau and Momers who are more centres than wingers. Wouldn’t be bad to have another proper winger in the squad even if he’s gonna be in reserves majority of the year

I’m praying a quality lock/back rower comes available sometime this year

Players are posting on social that they were late??

Roberts posted a video of him on a bike with Ronnie Palmer as punishment for being late.

I think centre’s probably BJ and then Jet/Talau.
Wing Nof and then AJ/Fitzgibbon based purely on the Pom’s update.

To me that’s enough depth in those spots, move Momers along and concentrate on FB/back row

Hopefully he doesn’t see it as a punishment , more so the club believes he is a good prospect and wants to invest time and effort into him

No more cutting corners.

Yeah if Fitzgibbon was to be in the top 30 we definitely wouldn’t need anymore wingers. We’re for sure fine on centres already too

Many posts placing a lot of hope on Douiehi, based on half a game.We are very skinney in the 5/8 position in case it does not work or injury which is common in the halves ,who do we play? Tannous i believe is a year away.Mbye may go ,and then what?AfterFB most think we need either lock or 2nd rower,to me it is 5/8.
