Robbie Mears is back in the fold! Haven't heard that name in quite some time.

Underrated player.

100%

I loved him. Red face, blonde hair. I remember he tore the Warriors to shreds up the middle when we played a home game in NZ. Good to have him back at the club.

Didn’t he change careers and join the NSW police force?
Good to see him back involved. Great little dummy half enjoyed watching him play in the early 2000s

I don't know most of these guys but there seems a better structure now. Seems Sheens and Noddy are in charge of coaching coaches.

Hopefully this allows us to promote from within next time round.

There is no different structure. We've always had a coach, and assistance coach at Matts and Ball level

Yep I'm aware of that, but Sheens/Noddy's roles are newer and definitely an upgrade on what we had. But what I am also referring to is that previously we had assistant coaches from the grade above as head coaches for the grade below.

Seems like there's a clear hierarchy now, and hopefully there is a similar way that they are all taught. Sheens has always focussed more on skill, whereas Maguire is more of a discipliarian.

Hopefully Madge and Sheens get together and we will have Skilled Disciplined players.

My hope is they are taking a leaf out of Gus / Panthers book of development.

Identify a style that you want to be ingrained in your system. Where every young player going through the grades knows what the tigers style is and adjustments are only minor in the steps up. Coach it at the junior level and have it progressively make its way into the first grade squad. With the addition of tweaks to the first grade style to complement the plan.
This worked a treat at Penrith until it was clear to Gus that Anthony Griffen started to deviate from the plan.

Gavin Sheehan was coaching for South Sydney Harold Matthews last season. Seems a step down to come across as an assistant coach in my opinion.

Might be impressed with what WT'S are putting in place.
