That $600k is a mighty big carrot because it is guaranteed income. I don't know how the Tigers could get that much out of Campbelltown or Leichardt. It would be great if both grounds seriously raked in the dough, but they don't. Not sure what the solution is, but Humphreys and co. might be able to look into alternative revenue options.
Yeah I understand why the club does it…the SCG trust must be getting something out of the deal otherwise....thanks for giving us the ground for free....
I would think the costs of Leichhardt and Campbelltown would have stabalised...both ground ave roughly 15,000 in crowds when we have been losing this year if you take away freebies family tickets school passes etc ...say you average $6.50 profit a ticket...thats 100k right there for 6 games gives you 600K Im not convinced but I reckon if you played more at Leichardt and Campbelltown....and improved on field performance which is the huge x factor...Crowds ave may even increase...
The one problem I do see is the catering to the corporates is far better at the WSFS that Leichhardt and Cambo could ever hope for but stuff them I say it's the peoples game afterall...I'm would hope Proton and the other sponsers would love it just as much at Leichhardt amd Cambo anyway...
