I get the message too sometimes but I just press back and I am on the forum logged in.

thanks GEO but it didn't help..i dunno whats wrong , it only happened this arvo,, always be great otherwise,

hmm, i've got the same problem, hopefully this might help your troubleshooting.
Using firefox, tried refreshing, logging in/ out, typing url from scratch & problem continues.
Tried IE. Went to log in & got this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare utf8_strrpos() (previously declared in /home/weststig/public_html/libraries/phputf8/mbstring/core.php:49) in /home/weststig/public_html/community/includes/utf/utf_tools.php on line 122
The only way to try again is to restart IE.

Back in Firefox
If I log on from within the forum I get this
Information
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
[0]
An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

If I log on from the start I get the same as Tomcat posted originally. Also the link you just posted Geo makes no difference.

I'm working on it guys… well at least trying.

The symptoms are very, very strange. The errors suggest a major problem with the code, but 98% of the time it works.
Urgh... time to get another coffee

Thats the problem. There's nothing obvious that springs to mind.
The IE error in particular is odd.
Thanks for working on it!

You have tried IE and FF, how about Google Chrome?? It's a new browser I am using now. Maybe you'll have better luck. If it was happening to me I'd be trying EVERYTHING lol. I feel your pain guys - hope it's sorted soon.

Chrome is a very last resort (not a comment on Chrome just on my laziness)
I'll be interested to see what happens when I try to log in from work tomorrow. That might go some way to identifying if it's session related, login related, PC related or who knows what.
(Although I have complete faith that Kul will have it all sorted by then anyway

It's not a problem with your PC, it's a problem at our end.
I was having the same problem with my iphone earlier today whilst at a meeting

Hey guys…

Yesterday I ran some maintenance on a few things and this looks to have been what has caused the problem... it was mean't to make the whole process better haha

I know this might seem like a stock standard response, but the dual login between softwares here rely on cookies. Therefore you guys may need clear all cache and cookies for this site. For a clean process this is what i suggest:

1\. Try login, if not go to step 3
2\. Logout
3\. Navigate to another website (do not keep this site open at all, no new windows or tabs)
4\. Clear cookies for the site completely
5\. Close the browser
6\. Re-open and give it another go.

Let me know how this guys guys...

Sorry about all this... I'm about to test this now in IE6, 7 and 8.

Cheers, Mike
