News Ltd giving it to Robbie Farah

DCE is in better form than Cronk or Thurston, so if you want him, pick him at half back.
The side was better coordinated vs Ireland in the second half when Robbie was out there. Smith is not in form at the moment. I don't get what is so good about him anyway, never have. He ran himself a few times vs Ireland and made no impact.

If Australia has a problem it is in the three-quarters. And Slater has really lost pace… How long will we go on picking him?

Lots of things to consider, sheens, without worrying about Robbie.

FWIW i agree,i noticed that at the backend of last season, except for the ocassional flash of brilliance like Benji the Melb. big 3 seem to have gone off the boil, esp. Cronk, they may be burnt out or carrying niggles but nothing like their form in previous years. After saying that they'll probaly win the World Cup for the Team but would really need to lift you would think.

Australia MUST win this World Cup and the best combinations will be needed to play in the Final.

DCE looked a little out of sorts against Fiji which shows me he is just a little off this level still… Its not as intense being the 7 against some of these minnow teams, and it will be a different thing against either the Kiwi's or the Poms.

Cronk is still the best choice as he brings greater experience and control to the team when needed.

Smith, Cronk, Thurston, & Inglis class will be on display for the Final. They just need the correct Front Row Rotation to do there thing. Sheens must play Gallen & Myles as support for Scott, Tamou & Fifita if Australia are going to win!

At the risk of being howled down, particularly after how much Potter was critiscised on here after replacing Robbie in a match earlier this year, I would much rather him see less game time. Whilst he is a much greater player than eight years ago and the game has also changed, I thought we were at our best when we played a partial tag team at dummy half on our roll to becoming premiers.

Friend has come on in leaps and bounds, particularly last year with Mortimer as his tag team partner. He has probably edged ahead of Ballin as QLD back-up hooker, but it is a lot easier to shine when you are reasonably fresh.

With Halautau coming in as a bench player in 2014 Farah should and must take a break during our matches. A fresh Farah will be the best Farah.

Farah can and will play 80 mins in every game he can. He will not, and should not be benched.

When Halatau is on the field he can take some hitups and pop into hooker occasionally, but not for Farah to go off the field.

players like woods, farah, gallen, smith, GI etc. thrive on playing the full game.

i really dont think their effectivity will be increased by playing less- they tend to get better the more they play

So who will Halatau replace when he comes onto the field?

Farah doesn't have to come off, but having a capable backrower type who can come on and give effective service at dummy half when punching out of our own half would be good, even if its just for a few sets or a few tackles to let Robbie catch his breath.

Farah might love playing every single play of every single game…..but the guy just signed a big contract for a long time and he isn't getting any younger.
