Next Wests Tigers Coach

If this board has any smarts left at all,even though they seem to have very little to start with,then Cleary should be appointed ASAP….
If Todd is appointed then we really have a boys club and it would be another disaster waiting to happen,,,,
 
I pity the poor bastard who lands the job. Out of those named I reckon only Toovey could stand up to the rabble that has now gotten three coaches the punt.

The main reason Taylor was given his departure from WT was to allow give the Club ample time to sign an experience coach such as Cleary before the rush from other teams to sign new coaches before the end of 2017 season. Good news if he agreed to coach Wests Tigers as it will allow him to personally assess the current playing staff and make his own decision as to which new players to bring into WT for 2018.
 
I think ET would be ok with Cleary and if he is a leader at the club then he would have discussed with other players Cleary's ability - ET did say that Cleary would be coaching in the NRL soon. Also Moses is going to get to know him with the Lebanon team, so who knows?

Hope that is true, there is one poster on here who will have egg firmly on his dial if this is true, would love Cleary to take over.
 
Cleary for me.

Its not like he has an outstanding NRL record, but it is decent and an upgrade on JT>

Put simply he ticks a few boxes.

Experienced at NRL level, available and has worked with young rosters.
 
Cleary would be first preference and if not him then Toovey. Anyone but Payten, that would be a dreadful appointment. I don't give a crap about his coaching ability, it would just be handing the club over to the Isaac Moses stable. It would be an absolutely terrible look.

Who would that be?
Everyone would choose Cleary above those mentioned. Including me.
I just want Todd so it kills these halves career. Then we can move them on and buy some real players.

Toovey? Coaching Bradford
Payten? Nil NRL experience
Leaves one bloke
 
I voted for too way for one reason. He is a tough son of a b and I think that's what we need. Cleary is probably a good coach but is he a hard task master?

Then again we talking about the tigers so not sure the primadonnas will put up with a hard assed bastard as coach

No to Cleary or Payten, we've had enough nice guys trying to get this mob motivated - time for a Toovey or a Folkes to whip them into shape, physically & mentally.
