NFL 2024

Well they’re my two my favourite teams so that’d be great. Two massive losing streaks waiting to be broken.
Yeah a good mate of mine is a Lions fan and has done it tough. They have a few injuries but if they can get healthy they will be hard to beat. I like the Bills as well, starting to look very good. A few weeks to go so anything can happen.

If all teams stay healthy, Bills play Lions in SB. If Lions a firing they won’t be beaten.
Yeah - nah!

Detroit are my NFC pick (Jalen Hurts is being carried by Saquon in Philly & will revert to type) - but the AFC is more complicated!

Bills always have a falsely inflated home winning percentage due to their local environmental advantage (combined with AWAY teams required to play in their alternate white jerseys under NFL rules - in blizzaards) - and both Josh Allen (+ Lamar at the Ravens) have a history of shitting the bed in the play-offs...

I hate to admit it - but Chiefs have them both covered with likely home ground advantage in the play-offs!

And an incredible QB. And geniuses at the draft.
Not so much the drafting geniuses in reality - your current best WR Deandre Hopkins is a 32 year-old free agent buy while your 2023 star draftee Rashee Rice is a scumbag bum who is heading the same direction as Aaron Hernandez....

His SB ring will be little comfort in the state penitentiary when the law does finally catch up with him!

Good breakdown. I'm sick how Jerry didn't want to
pay King Henry, lost him 2 Baltimore & then have
been on a run of shitty injuries like your 9'ers. This
year is a right-off either way, the Jones curse is real

We shall see.

KC will need to overcome Buffalo or Pittsburgh in the AFC CG. If it’s at Arrowhead I reckon it’s Chiefs.

Eagles v Lions looking like the NFC showdown. Eagles slight edge.

Super Bowl rematch on the cards?

Jalen Hurts sooo much wants to be Michael Vick. Fail. And you're right about Allen and Jackson but I think Goff may be a bit of a choker as well. He had a terrible superbowl for the Rams. Mahomes on the other hand is all time.

Yep. Entitled prick. Can't be as bad as Hernandez, though.
But as soon as you think they've stuffed it by losing say a Tyreek Hill or a Willie Gay, they simply win the draft, usually with rookies having standout seasons.

Does anyone know in the NFL bye week they get registered a win or does it stay the same. Wins and losses.
Nothing for a bye - only actual wins/losses are recorded for the teams - and points for/against are meaningless.

It is worth noting that If teams in a conference division are on equal win/loss records pre-playoffs - the advantage/higher ranking goes to the team that has the better win/loss record against their divisional rivals.

For example - my 49ers this season have lost to all 3 of our NFC West Division rivals in Cardinals - Rams and Seahawks.

So any of them would be crowned Divisional Champions ahead of us if we had an equal overall win/loss record at the end of the regular season...

Wins against your Divisional rivals are heavily weighted!

The Broncos have lost to both Chargers and Chiefs so far - but have another chance to even the ledger at 1-1 against both teams.

And as you now know - the Chargers have a game in the bank so if they can beat the Chiefs to go 9-4 - it will be a very hard task for Denver to even sneak into a wildcard playoff spot behind LA!

My high schooler son watched the last quarter of the animated simulcast of bengals v cowboys today. He’s never watched a game of league or NFL in his life but this captured his attention! Maybe something the NRL can adopt in future.
