NFL Season 2020

They probably will. The word is that Wentz will be looking to be traded, making Hurts the 1 and Sudfield the b/up.

A ridiculous end to the season with some of the Eagles shenanigans.

They were already out of playoff contention. Rested players end even then when they looked a chance of winning the game, they replaced their starting quarterback with an absolute nufty.

End result is they lost, ended up with 6th draft pick instead of 9th. Knocked the Giants out of the playoffs and allowed the team they were playing against to make them.

This shows the downside of draft systems (has also happened in AFL) where teams deliberately lose to improve their draft stocks.

The NFL should take draft picks off them as punishment.

Meh, Im not that concerned by it.
In the scheme of things, it was a meaningless game for the eagles. Their fans knew it and a loss was honestly their best result.

As you said, improved their draft position and knocked their arch rivals out of the play offs. Win-win.
And giants fans cannot complain. Your team was 6-10 and do not deserve to make the play offs.

Would anyone here be upset if the 10th placed tigers lost the last game of the year, and Ivan's pathers missed the 8 as a result??

Basically tanking to lose is a bad look and casts doubts over the credibility of the completion as a whole. That is the one main reason why draft picks based on final standings is not a healthy idea.
Go Bills! (and Bears and Browns but they both have literally zero chance of going too far into the playoffs).

Rams overcome odds to make playoffs, I’m telling you all get onboard they are exact opposite to Tigers - great defense, sign stars in free agency, great home ground, can string wins together.

It’s nice to not be angry all the time following a football team.

Burrow was always going to get hurt, happens when ever we have a QB capable of taking us anywhere. It happened in 2005 when the Steelers blew out Palmers knee in the playoff, again in 2015 when Dalton was having an MVP season, threw an unlucky intercept and broke his thumb trying to make the tackle. Now we get the number one pick and get Burrow killed by having an inept Oline.

As a Dallas fan, I am just glad we didn’t beat the Giants. Otherwise I might have broken my TV yesterday. Even some of the Eagles players looked disgusted on the sidelines with what was happening.
The whole NFC East was a train wreck this year, the NFL should replace the NFC East champion with a wild card entry in the playoffs this year.

Every divisional champions making the playoffs is always fraught with danger,as it is always possible that a team playing in a weak division with a losing record automatically gets rewarded. It is like if the NRL had a system where the top 7 are in the playoffs and the best team in queensland do also no matter where they finish

Yeah true ...I think Miami has a better record than 2 sides in the play offs

Not in the AFC . They were the 8th best team . They played OK considering how rubbish they were the previous couple of years . Tua clearly needed the year to work out the cobwebs with his hip . It’s a bit of a win year , as nobody thought they’d break 500 let alone 10 wins .

If you go through my posts in this thread I predicted it lol. You're a Rams fan so you benefitted from our stinginess on the Oline by picking up Andrew Whitworth when we deemed him past it and not worth his price tag. He has now played in a Super bowl.

Fair enough , you can’t win without a good O line though . They have decent receivers but thier backfield , is average at best . They’re like the browns last year . Invest in the line and watch the wins come . NFLnis weird though , the cowboys had the”best” o line in the comp, 1 year ago . Look how quickly that fell in a heap

That’s not a bad strategy though . I was listening to a podcast discussing how there are real questions in players in the draft at linebacker and secondary. So offense appears to be a better choice this year .

That's if they don't just go BPA throughout the draft, I don't have much faith in the coaching, ownership and administration of the Bengals.

Would love to see Browns or Bills go through in the AFC, would make for an interesting SB.
