I think every fan of a team goes through something similar but here goes...
I don’t care if we get beaten by 40 points every week as long as I can see some heart. This team doesn’t show any and is an embarrassment to the jersey of both Balmain and West’s.
there is so much history with both these teams and so many loyal fans but we are losing faith and are pretty sick of these players just going through the motions week on week.
No pride, no guts, no effort and no cameraderie in this team.
Sick of watching players that have been moved on to other teams where they have become stars.
Time for a complete restart beginning with the recruitment staff and the coach through to any player who doesn’t give 100 percent week on week.

Been that way for weeks. I often look at the field thinking where are the forwards and sure enough they are all still making their way back to the play. Really shows where we are as a team at the moment

I agree. Off the top of my head he's dropped Nofo, Benji, Brooks, BJ, Garner, Packer, Reynolds and Mikaele. I'm sure there's more I can't recall but our lack of depth means it's hard to replace them.

I missed the game today so it’s hard to judge, though being restricted to 28 eligible players (including AJ - out for season) for the next 3 or so weeks until development and other players become available makes it a little tough to bring on accountability when the people not playing today that are eligible are not really known for efforts (BJ/Mikaele) or are returning from injury (Blore/Walters).

From all reports though MCK should have been in reggies over Cini who may have slotted into the backline better. Additionally maybe Mbye better to start and shaft JTJ (apparently had a shocker) and Liddle to bench. Amone sounds the goods and could earn a spot. Maybe Madden comes up for Brooks but either way we look at it our roster across the board is not great and taking into account that Madge has 27 players to choose from with AJ out and has to name a 21 man squad it’s really a matter of which are our worst 6 that don’t get named come Tuesday...

Madges unchanged methods in the faster game are a worry however. Though for the record I hate the new subjective 6 again rules that are never actually analysed after the fact. I don’t remember many fans that weren’t a casual observer that didn’t understand the basic mechanics of the game asking for a faster game but guess we got it now.

Most players on this team make more than twice the amount as the average member. Even 3 times the amount. Yet us members fork out our hard earn money, how little it is in comparison to their wage, to put up with absolute nonsense.

I wonder how the players would feel if they paid money for something & were constantly let down due to lack of effort? Not just for a couple of times either, but year after year after year.

Some members are fortunate enough to make 100k+ a year, while those battlers who aren't quite so fortunate, still pay for a membership, and not only for themselves, but for their families as well. To watch that money being flushed down the toilet. We get false hope in the preseason, and then the pain begins. It makes us wonder whether we should continue to do it. I'm having those considerations right now.

The Titans have had 76 - points scored against them in two weeks. Five other clubs had more than 30 put on them this week. Six games out of eight where teams leak big margins. Fatigue and effort work against each other - welcome to the new game. We got out classed yesterday by DCE and TT - they did the same to the Titans the week before.
We do not have any quality players of that calibre and a spine where two of our players are 19 and 20 with less than ten games between them. This whole we are a better team on paper is a fallacy there is nothing to back that up other than wishful thinking.
We cant recruit without over spending - Cleary and Maguire have both proved that - we have to build from within and that is where we are at Sack Maguire and we are still in the same position.

This group (of players) would have to be very very low on confidence......HOWEVER they are the ones that can either win or lose a game, have they forgotten its up to them.

There is a lack of accountability across the entire club

On the surface it appears the players lack emotional resilience, and there could be a number of reasons for that, inexperience and lack of on field leadership perhaps? We recruited leadership? So why are we seeing a lack of emotional resilience or nonchalance in parts of our leadership group?
We need to look deeper than the on field performance to get anywhere near the source of the problem imo. The poor performance on the field is a symptom of a much larger issue.
Sacking coaches and players hasn’t worked in the past and all it does is buy time for the mediocrity disease to strengthen its grip. It’s time the entire organisation had a complete review with all positions put under the microscope and all interactions examined, to produce and implement a strategy for development. It needs to be done externally and without favour.
Why?
Because the players need a higher purpose than the one we are giving them.
