He’s not the only one at fault. He’s got mates like Lee and Pascoe who have played their part.

However, Sheens has released or loaned out 4 of our top 30 and we’re at a point where we don’t have 17 top 30 players to choose from. He’s the reason Pauga was out there. That is all on him.

Sheens definitely played a part in us getting the spoon. He wrote off the season and gave the players no incentive to perform. He is the head of football and his decisions absolutely impacted on results - and not positively.

Master class, if we were up by 6 and had the opposing team on their own try line with 60 seconds to go, I would not back this team to win.Its a wonderful feeling to have about our team and its a consistent feeling all season

I've always stated that I didn't like the Leilua and Nofo release especially but our inability to construct an NRL standard roster, build team cohesion and select the team isn't on any of them.
We started the year experimenting with our spine...once again...and never really saw any improvements on this until Hastings moved to halfback.
The spine was just as disjointed as last year and it reflected in our attacking ability.
Fair go people are still upset with the Madge sacking but where we are finishing on the ladder isn't on Pascoe, Sheens or Lee.

Lauren the people you mention are in charge of steering the ship. It has run aground someone has to be accountable and it is usually the captain. When players dont perform there is usually a reason (togethet with their own limitations which may well be what you are alluding to anyway ?)

I only watched half the game and honestly couldn't care less about them at the moment. I'm a forum addict, and mostly engage with the club (games, media etc) to make my forum experience better lol

Sheens made the decision to let Nofo, Gildart and Luc go. He sacked Madge. The board and Pascoe backed him up.

They have played a major role in the way this season ended.

Only just noticed your response. Addressed this before but agree about the release of players, though also see the point others have made in that the coach wasn't selecting Nofo or Gildart anyway.
Don't be naive. The club handed him that responsibility because they were gutless to do it themselves.
Sheens wasn't the only one who didn't see Madge as our coach in 3 years time.
Only Hartigan and Madge should be answerable to improving the 2022 roster and team performance. Either way they (the club) are not going to escape any criticism and blame. There's a lot of supporters ready to go ballistic and journos will be licking their lips... and rightly so.

It's been a nightmare to follow this club but this has been years in the making. We're witnessing the unravelling of a poor strategic plan.

Recruiting the wrong players and coaches have been our downfall.
To blame...part board, part coaches part players.
Everone who has a hand in this mess is to blame, not just madge, clearey, pascoe, packer, grub....the lot of them.
I can see a light appearing at the end of this tunnel now we've started to segregate to office and the footy operations somewhat and a couple of good players coming ..hopefully more.
Something had to be done and I think we are doing things that we haven't done before.
Unfortunately it takes time and the spoon is the curse of starting a new era.
I know a lot if you are going to kill me for saying that, remind me next year of this post....hopefully I wont have to hide 🤣
