No half No chance

I for one would like to see Moltzen on the bench he can cover fullback, centre , half back that to me is his value not in the starting team

This is a silly thread. Like other ppl said, Moltz went ok and it wasn't for lack of halfback direction that we lost. If you drop consecutive ball and miss consecutive tackles against a team like Manly, you are going to lose.

I disagree 100% if we had a DCE running the show in the back end of the first half we would have put heaps of points on. We had them on toast but had no structure and it was all one out stuff and a few bad options.

We definately lacked forward direction and it was an integral part of us not winning last night!

You manage dropped balls and missed tackles on the fly… Forward Direction is an integral part of the gameplan and failure to execute this part of your game loses games.

Yep Moltzen doesn't straighten us up like Lui did I think Farah also needs to take some of the blame for this

Still , it is early days and they have time to improve

I have never been sold on Moltz at 7 even when we won all those games on the trot in 2009\. In many respects, for a long time I was his biggest critic in that position. I remain of the view that he isnt a halfback. However, I wont rule out that he could develop into a handy one. Im happy to give him at least 10 games before a final decision is made.

I still believe, as always, that fullback is his best position. His running game has always been his strength and that suits a 1 not a 7.

Its been 2 weeks…we need to start giving halves time .... Lui was just starting to come good and he had time.
Miller humble and chisolm are not Cronk thurston or carney
They will not just slot in and magic happens
The 3 rookies are just as green as moltz in the 7 and would likely have some shockers and would need quite a few weeks to develop also

I remember soward being very average when Bennett arrived and fans where calling for his head but Bennett stuck by him and Soward grew in confidence match by match

Was moltz better this week then last? Think about that

You are right GOB and thats why I say give him 10 weeks. That being said, there is nothing about Moltz's game that suggests to me he is halfback. Poor kicking game, not a quick enough distributor and lacks poise at the line. As always, I hope he proves me wrong.

I thought Tim went very well on friday night considering he had to shut down Tony T-REX Williams. Every time I saw TW with the ball, Timmy was hanging on for his life around TW legs - without assistance. TM moved up as quick as he could to shut the play down. Well done TM.
