No improvement

I think it was unfair to expect real improvements from this team. We all knew it pre season but it is hard admitting to ourselves that on paper we expect to challenge only for the spoon. Fans that expected us to finish higher than 10th were being hopeful rather than realistic.
Do not expect improvement. It is beyond this playing group as it currently is. Expect change.

I can't work out what has happened from the first game against Souths to this rubbish?

For 75% of the Souths game we looked premiership material. Our attack was slick and our defense was solid. Then the last 25% of that game we looked ordinary and it just kept getting worse.

It's as if they all just sat down and said it was too hard.

Too many got carried away with the win, it was against a team down on replacements, and a passenger on the field for most of the game( we were so good that the passenger actually strolled over for a try).
Even though Inglis was unable to run and was just there to fill a jumper.
We still had our very ordinary second half , as usual

Thats why the board moved to sack JT.
The way we beat Souths and lost the next 2 was the same as in previous years.
Those overlaps the lack of passion and directionless kicking game are all hallmarks of our previous coach.
JT was given much autonomy is player retention and we screwed our roster.
Webster has just got them on autopilot from JTs core tactics.
Not only we loose but are close to unwatchable.

Because at this stage Souths ,Newcastle and the Tigers are very clearly the candidates for 14th ,15th and 16th and by a long ,long way CQ

Throw in the Warriors as well ..just finished watching that game after I got home..Titans had 1 bloke on the bench the entire 2nd half ..Warriors just snuck home…

Improvement will come for us when some ego's get deflated...

The entire Warriors team, or just the Warriors when Ayshford plays? That guy is such a liability and he still gets game time!

But look at all the ex Tigers players from this weekend

And this is from memory so please forgive if it isn't correct

Missed tackles

Taupau had 8
Sironen had 4
Ayshford had more missed than made from memory

They don't necessarily get better when they leave , they have better blokes who can cover for them

Oh I totally agree with that, there are players that go alright because the TEAM covers for their mistakes. Storm were bustled into lots of mistakes last week, but the TEAM pulled the game together in the end.

It's like all this talk of JAC, he can do well in a good side I believe. If he was still at Tigers, he'd probably be part of the problem as well because he's not a terrific player, he can't elevate our team by himself.

You couldn't probably count the times Bellamy has gone through JAC's defence and his rushing out of the line

Rushing out of the line is fine , have always said that , but a few things have to happen

Timing is key firstly

Secondly making the tackle

Thirdly as important as they have to make it a dominant tackle and finish the tackle off

You do that , you deserve an award

Rowdy was a horror , he'd either miss the man completely , not get the timing right or they'd be up in two seconds and Rowdy would be miles out of position and we'd have no markers to boot

This isn't correct.
Our problems predate JT's tenure. It's just easier to blame the last coach. coaches are the cheapest and easiest to sack. It's the quickest fix but that doesn't fix our issues. A band aid so to speak.
Every coach is going to fail with this core group. The management are trash with silly factions still infighting.
Every corner of this club is poison.
2011 is the last time we saw finals football. Think about that before you lump it on the last coach.

As head coach the present roster and tactics are the responsibility of JT. He selected this core group and is responsible for us watching Nofo stand 25m in from the sideline when we concede our overlap tries. He is also accountable for the non retention of guys like Taupau JAC and Farah .

So called board infighting is not responsible for Taylor ball.
Finals and success are not always guaranteed unless one has the breaks of an out of town club but during the last 3 years are team has become a team without a signature stye.

Don't worry, the board will fix things now.
A full cleanout and probably never before so many players on the market .

Statistics are only part of the story.
One could see JAC was a good reader of the play with us. Remember he had Roberts from Brisbane worried all night. Some mistakes are ok if you can worry the opposition and wear them down at other times. Taupau does this and gets better on a bigger stage and Farah is still a factor in opposition sides coaches game plans.
This is why our team has always so much to do in defense. When we attack we don't ask enough questions leaving opponents fresher.
These days only teddy worries them so the rest are easy meat.

Our forwards are so weak when it comes to hit ups, it's like they are just hitting the ball up for the sake of it with no intention to try and break through

Woods just runs it up casually and opposition teams wrap him up so he can't get the offload away

Rowdy is not a second rower, the plays the halves do with him are so predictable and he never penetrates the defensive line with his hit ups

Tim Grant gets the ball when he shouldn't be

Our markers are so lazy in defence, so many tries have come from lazy bludging defence

Taylor has decimated this club with extremely poor decisions. We are going to need to some time to move forward from his poor decisions. At least from next year on we will have a chance to rebuild and improve.
