No tears

One big difference I noted walking out of the ground last nite compared to 2005, I saw no Tigers fans in tears…where in 05 I saw dozens of dragons fans bawling their eyes out, red rimmed and bloodshot eyes matching their jerseys.
Dunno if it means anything or not....I think it does.

No need for concern, there'll be plenty of Dragon fans in tears at about 6.30pm this Sunday. Those Saints fans at home might consider a quiet post match evening that includes a warm bath, a couple of razor blades and some Leonard Cohen on the ipod

The one thing I noticed amongst the St George Supporters lining up for the rail public transport or at least those around me anyway after the game was a sense of relief that they managed to get over the Tigers. There did not seem to be obvious gloating that one would imagine where one team supporters have prevailed over the other. So considering we pushed them all the way with the Refs working against us and all that separated us was a point I agree there was disappointment for me but certainly no tears. In the end I was proud of my team for this years effort and will still wear my finals shirt again on Grand Final Day. Bring on 2011 :master:

I walked out feeling like an idiot for putting up with this refeering crap which began in the late 70s.

Saints fans seemed very quiet, they knew they were lucky to get away with it.

I was bloody shattered, but not crying. I think I can channel most people's feelings, and just say that I was mightily ticked off and frustrated at the lack of consistency from ref's calls (sour grapes, but I can't help it).

At least the dragfans at work didn't give me a belting. Was surprised, but I admit they're a fair bunch and know 10 years of choking runs deep within their veins. Its too early to celebrate, because the Roosters will be contending after their excellent display against the Titans. (It hurts to say it - Both teams stink just for the record).

P.S I was more heartbroken v Roosters, because I was there, and we HAD that match by the balls.

A number of people mentioned the influence the officials could have on our season and we were all right hopeless refs, unfair the game lacks credibility when the nrl do nothing.

even the manly supporter who gives me grief every season at work came in today and said 'things didn't go your way'. the whole finals series we copped some rubbish calls but we still showed what we are about. love the way we displayed some real steel this year.

i just think the drags fans were quiet coz they know there is a job still to do, don't worry they'd be giving it if they had just won the final
