Nofo - playing injured or something the past few weeks? If so, what for? Hasn't backed himself in the corners near the line. Hasn't been able to break a tackle to save his life and looked really, really slow. Not where he was at a couple of months ago.

He scored a hat-trick a couple of rounds back against Manly.

He was belted and injured last week and played heavily strapped tonight, then injured his ankle in the game. Hasn't had many opportunities the past two weeks as Benji has been favouring our left edge and AJ.

Playing him at fullback took a lot of attack out of his and our game against Parra.

Interesting you mentioned this. I noticed a drop in his intensity ever since the media leak “walking on eggshells” story. He expressed his views openly and maybe it affected his desire a bit, or maybe he just wasn’t 100% fit the last few games. Also our opposition was better these last few weeks maybe.

Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma has been voted by his teammates as the club’s Players’ Player of the Year at tonight’s end-of-season Presentation Night.

One of just three players to feature in every game for Wests Tigers throughout the 2020 season, Nofoaluma took out the award narrowly from Harry Grant, Josh Aloiai and Benji Marshall, who also polled well in voting done by the players.


The Campbelltown junior delivered his best individual season since debuting for the club back in 2013, with a personal best 17 tries in 20 matches — finishing as the club’s leading try-scorer and the third highest try-scorer across the NRL.

Having surpassed Pat Richards in 2019 as the club’s highest-scoring winger, Nofoaluma’s 17 tries in 2020 have him third on the all-time top try-scoring list, with his 74 career tries for the club narrowly trailing departing duo Chris Lawrence and Benji Marshall (84 tries each).

Benji has always been brilliant but eratic and these sort of awards usualy go to the most consitent good player

Benji has always been brilliant but eratic and these sort of awards usualy go to the most consitent good player

He's won golden boot and 5/8 of the year numerous times and been close to Dally M.

My post wasn't to have a go at anyone, just an observation that possibly our best player in history has never been our player of the year.
