There was another theatre further down Liverpool Rd towards Croydon. It might have been called the Astor. Went to movies in both theatres. I remember watching Ride the Wild Surf at the Kings when I was 13. Barbara Eden, the object of a few of my teenage 'fantasies' was in it.We used to get those milkshakes here... Kings theatre Ashfield had the old style milk bar attached next door with booths etc

Someone would have done that by hand.I grew up with a family who revered Don Bradman etc etc.
Here is a historic graph of his runs scored when he made his 334 (the then world record score in Test cricket) in the Third Test against England, held at the Headingley ground in Leeds in July 1930.
