Dr. Victor Chang, a pioneering Australian heart surgeon, was tragically murdered on July 4, 1991, in a failed extortion attempt at his home in Mosman, Sydney. He was shot by Chiew Seng Liew, who, along with Phillip Lim, had attempted to extort money from him.
