27 August 1908, Australian legend, Donald George Bradman was born in Cootamundra, NSW.

Often referred to as "The Don" he was widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time representing his country in 52 Tests and scoring 6996 runs including 29 test centuries.

Bradman's career Test batting average of 99.94 is often cited as the greatest achievement by any sportsman in any major sport
