Norway has launched the world’s first glass-window panoramic night train on Arctic routes, allowing passengers to watch the Northern Lights from heated, enclosed carriages.

The service, known as the Midnight Aurora Route, operates during peak aurora season from October to March across northern Norway.

Carriages feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls and roofs, low interior lighting, and reclining seats angled toward the sky.
The route runs along the Ofoten Line, starting from Narvik and passing snow-covered mountains and fjords.

Tickets cost about €130, and the train is powered by Norway’s renewable hydroelectric network.
