NRL 360

I thought we would be exempt from last nights show with Parramatta being the next in line for their inability to keep their young stars, however three teenage players slept in and missed the bus and then beat the bus to the Airport took up the Wests Tigers topic for the evening. Then we got dragged into the Brian To'o contract that is seeing us willing to pay up to $900k when he is not technically available and they said Richo said he had not spoken to To'o which would constitute a breach anyway.

Agree it is a crap show but I watch the first 10 minutes to see what our club has supposedly done or going to do from people like Benny who has no link to Wests Tigers and actively wanted his nephew to stay with Parramatta. The show will get canned when we finally get our act together as they will have less content than they have now.

NRL 360 tonight Paul Crawley came out and said the clubs player payments and the totals showing they are on or under the cap should be made public !
Couldn't agree more !
Lost respect for Anasta who vigorously defended clubs to keep everything private
He looked fearful at the suggestion and being a multiple player agent doesn't want figures known .
He said of course Storm can afford Stephano and NAS and Welch because they are a good club . He said again Tigers are a basket case and must pay more . The more mud he throws the more sticks .
My main concern is not the Storm who develop a lot of unknowns but I simply don't believe the Roosters who mainly sign existing superstars manage to sign all these stars on less than "market value". The whole thing is odorous.
The LA LAKERS ,and every top professional. Teams in a variety of sports have their spending and cap public knowledge ..Australia is unique it says to the fans just trust us and believe us when we say there are No Rorts !

I don't mind players contracts remaining private- it is their money after all.

But there needs to be a very clear set of rules with exceptions & inclusions in what goes into contracts against the cap & away from the cap- and an independent, genuine independent, body that does cap compliance every 3 months or so- like an inventory check in a depot or store- to ensure that all the rules are being followed.

Any money made outside of the cap must be declared
to the NRL and made public. Keep salaries disclosed

Nah I'm kidding. But need more transparency 4 sure

That would be ideal but i can not imagine the NRL agreeing to it as there are far too many snouts in the trough imho

Braith doth protest too much - such a conflict of interest and got his nickers in a real knot.
No credibility as a commentator when it interferes with his managers hat
