The four groups for the 2017 NRL 9's is

Piha Group : Dragons ,Eels ,Manly Warriors

Hunua Group : Cowboys ,Roosters ,Raiders ,Rabbits

Rangitoto Group : Knights ,Tigers , Broncos ,Storm

Waiheke Group : Sharks ,Titans , Panthers , Bulldogs

The actual draw is at the bottom of the group rating

We play the Knights first then the Storm and on Sunday we play Brisbane

If Taylor actually sent his best players we would be a real chance, blokes like Moses and Teddy would have a day out, but I understand why he would leave them in cotton wool at home.

Although a strong showing would help confidence and any money our mob can jag would be a massive bonus

We got dis…

I wonder if this is the year we take it seriously...

I doubt it, but hopefully. It is becoming a bigger competition every year but I feel like we're a team who'll jump on the bandwagon when it's too late.. Wait for 90% of the comp to take it seriously and then jump on board.

I am surprised that they didn't put rabbits in our group

That would've been
Storm: JAC
Broncos: Prince & Benji
Rabbits: Taylor vs Farah

But if we want to be successful in the nines we need to play 3 of our back 7
I suggest Idris, Brooks, and 1 more

I agree. The squads taylor has sent so far have been very disappointing.

I'd like to see Brooks, Heleta, Papenhuyzen, Marsters, Chee Kam and Liddle all included in the squad.

Its a Catch 22 situation though

If a Moses ,Tedesco ,Liddle got a season ending injury the Taylor haters would tar and feather him

A win or finals appearance could be a massive boost to the season and really give the squad some confidence

Do you take the risk and go with a full strength squad ??

Ur right
I guess they are saving it for round 1

We should be sending a near full strength team.
This squad needs confidence in any form they can get it.
Our last game was a despicable embarrassment that they should all be thoroughly ashamed of. Playing good footy in front of big crowds against most of the game's stars can only bode well in this department.

Yes I tend to agree with you styker and if we get injuries then so be it. But have a good crack at winning it first.
The first two I'd be taking would be Brooks and Liddle

Brooks is a must. He needs to get as much game time under his belt for his fitness as possible. Playing him in the 9's would hopefully also give him some confidence in running the footy a bit more.

Marsters needs to have a crack as well to see if he has worked on his fitness and let him show off some of his ball skills.

Those two with Liddle automatically come to mind without putting any thought into it.

You can add Idris, JJ Felise, & whoever the club plans on replacing Rankin (let's assume Kev) to that list. They also said that Simona will definitely play in the 9's.
