Today guys I took my u10s East Hills Bulldogs to Belmore Sports Ground, as they are our local team. This all in preparation for our Grand Final on Saturday. This was what we experienced.

- guided tour
- media room
- away dressing room
- home dressing room
- players education centre
- gym
- player tunnel
- talks by coaching staff
- photos all areas except gym and training (none in gym due to motivational messages on wall and training as you would expect)
- walk on field as u20s trained
- greeted by every available players, only Kasiano and Barba , they weren't present
- Des Hasler was very welcoming considering they were training
- watch first grade train
\
\
And to top it off, they thanked us for coming. No wonder they are who they are.

bulldogs are almost the ultimate club minus the home ground. if they played at belmore… well yeah

Tigermaniac my comment might of come across rudely , but no malice intended . Nice gesture they did ,but i'm sure every club does that with there juniors .
Just hate the Dogs

Two things.

- got told today that they have approval for a home game there, but it must be on Sunday 2pm. They say it's very hard with a fixed draw, as they want to take a game there with an out of Sydney team. If their last game against Gold Coast fitted the restrictions they would have done it. Ground can only house 18,000 with new safety guidelines. They say it can still fit 25,000

- come out to Belmore guys, this coming Saturday, East Hills Bulldogs vs Greenacre Tigers. U10s Grand Final kick off at 12 midday.
6 Grand Finals contested on the day, starting at 10am.

GO HARD EAST HILLS BULLDOGS

I hear ya, 3/4 of the team support the dogs. I have a WT story to, just don't want to share it, don't want to bag them, as for what's happened there lately. 3 weeks waiting is all i'll add. But they have done something. Still love them.

Maybe our Football office employees haven't been paid for weeks that's why your still waiting  .
Yeah fair enough some clubs are more proactive than others

Yeah I remember seeing articles about the Doggies setup, its world class stuff.

Also nice to see the club take time out and support the kids like that. The kids will remember that for a long time, some life long leaguies right there.

They're averaging 20k at Homebush. Capacity at Belmore is 18k. They're the ultimate club ,as you put it,because they make the tough calls like abandoning sh*tty venues. Which was about 14 years ago by the way. Clubs who can't make those sort of calls have to go cap in hand to the NRL.

Bellmore doesn't meet NRL standards therefore can't host NRL games. Although it has been recently renovated so that might have changed this year.

So the Dogs didn't make any hard decision, in fact its been stated that they would love to play at Belmore despite the low capacity.

Sorry mate thats total crap. When they moved from Belmore it met the standard of the day. They chose and are now reaping the benefits. Recently when they had to reschedule their game that conflicted with the AFL game they were asked if they would play it at Belmore. No was they answer.

Yes I agree that Dogs made the choice to move in 1998 and they turned down playing there this year, the only reason it was an option this year was because of the $7m upgrade they completed in 2012.

It wasn't always the case of the Dogs saying no.

Its a no -brainer for them. The two venues dont compare for an NRL team.

Not getting involved in the debate, but they can only play a game at Belmore on a Sunday 2pm time slot. They will only play a out of Sydney side and it has to be inline with the fixed draw. Last minute solutions won't come into consideration. Canterbury Council dictates the terms.
