NRL CEO On the Outer

CEO on the outer

One particular NRL club CEO may stand down before the end of this year. His club has severe financial issues and are under-performing on the field. Our man is really feeling the heat from his board and is also offside with several leading members of the playing group… they won't be sorry to see him go.

Would it be Humphreys? We are in financial problems and there was an article about Humphreys earlier correct me if I am wrong.

Really don't see the point in speculating. If it is, it is. If not, speculating is just hurting the club.

I honestly don't care.

I am trying to ignore all the BS, the board infighting and the business of it all this year.

It has worked because I am actually enjoying the footy more then I have for a long time

Yep. Same here. Sick and tired of the politics off field which holds us back. We're like a bunch of 8 year olds. I'm just focusing on the on field stuff. Screw the bickering off field. If it is humpty, then time will tell.

Exactly this…. it took me a while to come around to it but you are spot on.

Am with you Smeg in a way but think that there was a very valid reason why we ended up in the mess we did and for the club to move forward and not suffer the same issues we have in the past someone has to be held accountable and moved on. IMO that person is/was Humphreys and one way or another he will and should go. Wests Tigers is wonderful franchise but because of the 'joint venture' nature of the business needs a strong and decisive leader who is prepared to back themselves against a 'divided' Board and not appear to be over run by disaffected coaches & players and in doing so be seen to be protecting their own arse. From what I can see happening in the background there was a reason why the Board appointed the ex Manly CEO as a marketing manager.

I'm of the impression that the CEO acts on behalf of the board. I'd find it doubtful that Humphreys made any of the decisions he's being blamed for doing off his own bat. I think the board need to take a good look at themselves before they go pointing the finger at Humphreys.

I'm with you on this Smeg. Really have been enjoying my footy this year so far, at the back end of 2012 it was at times, tedious to watch the game with all the off-field issues with our club especially.

Whoever is booted I hope its quick and painless.
