I’m glad Coote got it and “the accountant”, a hot favourite missed outCongrats to Ron Coote 14th immortal
Jesus youre as bitter an old fart as BrohmanI’m sure Thirsty( Masters)will next come out with a poor Boydy article, coz he’s had his tongue in his rear end for the whole of his career.
Maybe,Lol. I agree with ink - you're taking this harder than brohman.
It was the correct decisionI never saw Ron play ....how good was he ??
Sorry mate, Masters nickname was/is Thirsty, same as Morrow.Thirsty was the late David Morrow not Masters
Very….. but never passed like Raper, always held on to the ball.I never saw Ron play ....how good was he ??
I was playing U23's at the time and I hated most of those pricks. We didn't have too much to do with first grade but at club functions they were mostly arseholes. Boyd was a really quiet bloke off the field. Very shy and unassuming. Bob Cooper was the biggest man in the world and a renown fighter but not a bad bloke. He was bashing Greg Cooper in that brawl with Illawarra and Pomfret came in to break it up. He hit him so hard he broke his jaw and knocked all his upper teeth out. Dallas was a prick, Bruce Gibbs worse, Bruce Clark, John McLeod...you wouldn't invite them to your house.I loved the Magpies whole forward pack from that era. Opposite teams left the field knowing they had a contest albeit win / lose.
YesVery….. but never passed like Raper, always held on to the ball.
Some of the other forwards around that time- Mick Luibinskas, Geoff Foster & Graeme O'Grady always seemed to escape the attention but did their job too. Yeah, Ive heard Donnelly and Gibbs were difficult off field but man o man they were difficult on field too.I was playing U23's at the time and I hated most of those pricks. I think Boyd was a decent bloke off the field. I stood next to him at the bar at Lidcombe Dancers Club one day after a game, waiting to be served, and he turned around and started chatting to me. Not a big head at all.I was playing U23's at the time and I hated most of those pricks. We didn't have too much to do with first grade but at club functions they were mostly arseholes.
