NRL statement on Isaac Moses

The NRL should review which players the Eels purchased or retained when not in a position to do so. The Eels should have lost those players as well as fines for what happened.

They did...and collected the spoon the following year..

They should be going over all players with Moses as a manager, and also interview players that have left Moses management as to reasons. The player manager scene is sure corrupted. If I was NRL HQ I'd look to scrap the entire thing and start again. At present managers have too much power and influence.

Even those players purchased?

Tim Mannah should be congratulated on standing up.

Can't find the backstory. What happened re:Mannah?

Moses told Mannah to lie or change a comment in regards to the Parramatta Salary cap issues

I have known Tim and the family my whole life, Absolute stand up guy.

That's what is being reported Spartan ....last name I expected to see as well ...especially with the quality of humanity on that roster

If true at least he did the right thing in the end

Maybe that explains why the eels were trying to offload Mannah last season

Did it take the NRL three years to rub out Moses or was it not investigated due to a classic Toddles carpet sweeping session? Did Toddles provide a character reference for Uncle Isaac? Hopefully V'landys keeps digging.

Maybe . Turns out they’re “close” friends . Seriously , the NRL is proving to be corrupt as all stuff this year. In some ways , ***covid-19 might be the best thing to ever happen to the NRL***.

Peter V'Landys will be.

Now if this was WT the telecrap would be dredging up all the old stuff that led to this and hammering us every day. Lets see what they do with Parra.

Nothing. They are part of the NRLs teachers pets.

Says it all doesn’t it.....

“Former NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg and Moses were close friends, but Greenberg made sure he distanced himself from the investigation and placed chief operating officer Nick Weeks in charge”

Says he did the right thing by removing personal interest/conflict? The CEO isn't allowed to have mates?

Greenburg and Moses being close mates certainly does not vindicate Greenburg. Moses has long been a dodgy figure in rugby league, and for Greenburg to have been mates with him just indicates how dodgy Greenburg himself is/was.

Being mates, you would bet Greenburg covered Moses' actions up as best he could, and if he stepped away from the investigation I am sure it was only because he knew Moses was going down and he was trying to distance himself from Moses.

He most probably is.
But he lied, not sure how he gets off scot-free from that?
At least he has had a big hand in Moses getting punted, good on him for that?.
