NRL360

Playing devils advocate here…
He still lives at home with his olds yeah?
He comes home from training and every once in a while he has a whinge about something he really shouldn’t be sharing, Benji has said the wrong thing, made a poor decision etc.- but it’s his parents so he knows he is safe to do so.
Was Lachlan the author of the dossier or were his parents?
Someone has kept a diary on this stuff and I doubt it’s been him.
All possible mate. Doesn't change the fact that whoever wrote it put his name on it. If his parents signed a million dollar contract for him, can he use the excuse to get out of the responsibility? No, so if you are going to put your name to something you have to own the contents.

Either way, he made the statement to the media that he would be better developed elsewhere. He owns that.

No doubt he has some shit people around him, but if nothing else, he will realise thst he is an adult now and he can't hide behind the excuse that he's just a kid.

If ever someone needed definitive proof of how big a tool Elias and Riccio are, just watch the program from tonight. Absolutely absurd arguments.
Couldn’t be bothered reacting to all of them, but one that has me baffled is the notion that Luai and Turuva are hypocrites because they left their last club for more money.
The muppets on both social and mainstream media who keep making this argument obviously have logic as their second language.
Firstly, Galvin isn’t leaving for more money (allegedly), it’s to be better schooled at five eighth play (by Jason Ryles apparently).
Secondly, if Luai and Turuva had been offered the same amount of money as we had, does anyone seriously think they wouldn’t have stayed ?
And thirdly, neither of those two boys shat on their current coach on the way out !
Seriously, Elias claims that Galvin is being hard done by for being honest. If he told the club (and his teammates) he is going to make buckets more money somewhere else but wants to help them win games, he would have got a lot more love from them.

Loved Braith in it.
So he wants to leave for better coaching, potentially M Moses has a coaches mindset and can guide him.
But that is apparently better than the playing experience of Benji and Luai.

But the bit I find most funny was Riccio stating that it was the Tigers job to prove to Galvin that they are a finalist team if they wanted a chance to keep him.
A 19 year old, a bloody 19 year old expects a club to prove to him they are worthy.
The irony.

Not surprisingly the Galvin situation is taking a turn against the players involved and their supposed hypocrisy about accepting big money offers. Luai and Turuva are both being called out for bullying the young Galvin. I see that there is a presser today featuring the Tigers players, obviously to try and hose down the flames. What I see is growing sympathy for Galvin at the hands of his teammates. Get ready for Tigers to change tack and give Galvin an early exit to save face. Meanwhile, Isaac Moses, will be talking to his lawyers about possible compensation for “ pain and suffering” of his client.

Benji talking to the media this morning

Benny…great player, sh!t bloke

This is working out exactly as they’ve planned it I’d suggest.
Moses drops the bombshell and initial support and sympathy goes to the club. It is short lived though as player reactions are always going to happen.
Being dropped was expected as can be seen in his press release. It will be used though along with player reactions to create a narrative of intimidation and bullying. If you watch every big name podcast or tv show about RL, the tide is turning with support for him. Gould expressed concerns early in the week, Freddy and Joey were talking about his mental health. Thaiday was saying it on channel 9 this morning. James Graham, Benny Elias…they are all lining up.
NRL 360 is supporting the club but most aren’t as much anymore.
Exactly as planned.
This kid will go soon and we’ll get nothing in return.

Your analysis of the various media outlets is spot on. However, as it relates to the practical outcome, remember that the press, social media, pundits, etc. don’t run the club. The only stakeholders that really matter are the club, the NRL and maybe the RLPA. The player and his manager don’t have a lot of power in this either. They’ve already shown their hand. If the club lets him go with nothing in return, it’s not because James Graham thinks they should, it’s because the club is weak(Richo - you reckon!!) or the RLPA has some indefensible leverage on them.

Let's face it the club he has love for was his Balmain Tigers not Wests Tigers, most of the opinions on us over the years have been more negative than positive.
Go back to the days when Mitch Moses left, he blamed the club again just like last night, on top of this he's still pissed because the club won't let him have any involvement.
What does he expect, does he think the club is going to forgive and forget all the knives in the back over the years, he just isn't that important anymore wake up to yourself Benny.

It’s true his love is probably for Balmain and not Wests Tigers, but he was also instrumental in sending Balmain to the wall over the whole Roselle site so his love is obviously not unconditional! In one sense he is right about the Mitchell situation. The clubs handling of it was amateur hour. However Mitchell’s behavior to get out early was indefensible. Tanking. Kicking stones, etc. Benny never references this aspect of it. Can’t blame him I guess. It’s family. But it’s also disingenuous.

Benny Elias was an absolute disgrace. A shill of a human who I am actually ashamed is a club legend.

And Riccio? Please. Drama merchant and headline seeker first - integrity and balance is not this journalist's MO. If there’s a match he will light it, throw petrol on it then write a column about how shocked he is there’s smoke.

Braith on the other hand - he used to show disdain for the Tigers, but in this story he has been vociferous in support the Tigers and shutting down any BS.
