**UPDATE: Both NSW Cup and Holden Cup have been officially postpone. Gates will now open at 4:30PM with no set date on when the postponed games will be rescheduled**

Fox Sports commentator David Tapp reports both NSW Cup and Holden Cup matches have been postponed due to wet weather in Sydney.

"Today's #VBNSWCup and #HoldenCup matches at Leichhardt Oval have been postponed due to deluge. NRL Tigers V Storm still on."

damn taking my daughter to her first game she was excited to watch all 3 games oh well at least 1st grade is still on
 
What a joke. What, can't 1st Grade players play in a bit of mud? Wouldn't wanna get those jerseys dirty now would we? Maybe the NSW Cup and NYC teams can sit around and NRL Playstation game and decide the result with that. Disgraceful.
 
Wayne Cousins has confirmed that our NSW Cup and Holden Cup games have been postponed. Gates will now open at 4:30pm for a 5:30PM NRL kick off

Please use some intelligence and read between the lines mate.

The reason the 2 lower grade matches have been postponed is so that the field doesn't get churned up for the NRL game. What a joke.

What happens if it is raining on Grand Final day? Are they gonna toss a coin to decide who wins the lower grade premierships?

Im sure hes aware of that….sometimes you just shouldnt take things so literally....there are 1st grade players in both grades that are cancelled, mainly state cup, plus I am thinking he means the ground will be cut up a bit by the time NRL rolls around

I agree with FTB, no shoulder charges, no punching....now no heavy tracks, games gone to the pits

Wonder what they'll broadcast instead, to fill the 4 hour programming hole. They should just dig into the archives and show the 2009 and 2010 victories over the Storm at Leichhardt. Wouldn't mind seeing Lawrence burn Slater down the touchline again. And Benji's hatrick.
 
You got to love modern society poor dears…being an older fossil the powers to be in all areas of our society are soft as. I was so privileged to be raised in the TRUE Aussie spirit of getting down and dirty in all walks of life.....Don,t have much time for the modern.

they are broadcasting boxing and soccer instead -_- wish they would show some old games…
 
geez some of you guys need to calm down.
Clearly can't maintain the field, cost a fortune after 3 games. There's gotta be some kind of standard for 1st grade, nothing to do with game becoming soft. Probably a good thing given our injury toll anyway.

NYC kick off at 11am. Not sure about NSW Cup but I'm assuming straight after NYC.
