NSW Cup Coach Paul Fletcher Gone.

Maybe JT wants a full time coach, I know Fletch was working for Ryde Council parks & gardens at least a year or two back, dunno if thats changed at all…if hes still there or was F/T coach

really? didnt pay much attention this year but whenever i heard him speak, he spoke very smartly.

our NSW cup team has an amazing record compared to NRL despite our complaining that we have no depth. whatever injuries first grade sufferred, NSW Cup sufferred double of that and flether was still able to get us to semis and grand finals.

disappointed tbh.

The guy seems to have a cult following among sections of the supporters. If a NSW cup coach being moved on is our biggest concern we must be coming up Milhouse.

One of the last remnants of balmain …dare I say it

Whilst i think they are freeing up the spot for Kimmorley wouldn't it be great if the brought Toddy Payten back home. He will have coached a lot of the players previously and seems to be a coach with a massive future.

The club seems intent on eliminating the boys club, not bringing them back.

Massive future as a white anter.

Don't let him anywhere near the team.

Those saying a spot for JT - wake up to yourselves.
He is the NRL coach for 2016 and 2017.

C'mon Ink, according to some on here, everyone needs to be sacked - from the Chairwoman, the Board, the coaches, half the football team, and I dare say, the tea lady. Go figure.

The tea lady stays. She makes a decent cuppa and I heard she brings in freshly made scones, for JT and the boys to enjoy daily…

Still, there's the question that any tenous tea-lady has to prove:
Does she jiggle, or does she dangle the tea bags, or does she swing the pot over her shoulder three times??
A cuppa has to more than a cuppa these days.
But not all is lost, the WT culture cuppa will eventually become the fans preferred collective cup of tea, whatever our individual taste - it's just as JT said: sometimes we have to take a step back to move forward.

they came 11th out of 12…minimal injuries to FG meant minimal disruptions unless you count Moltz...

Just read on Twitter that Paul Fletcher has been punted. Incumbent NSW Cup Head Coach.

Seemed to be admired by the players. Don't knot much about him, but when half the playing group comes to someone's defence, gotta say something…

OMG should stay on and claim his payment.

How can the club treat a loyal servant like this?

The issues are with our incompetent board!

Oh wait… Wrong thread?

I thought Fletcher was doing a decent job, and his job would certainly be difficult with plenty of players from Toyota Cup getting a run this year, plus he had a weaker squad to work with.

Hasn't he made the finals 7 times in 8 years?

It's not as much an achievement as it sounds, when the whole comp makes the 8 (bar 3-4 teams) Put it in a valid perspective where being in the top 8 means you have to be in the top half of the comp, And ressies have made it 1-2 times.

Can't help relate it to other points of view within the club, Where being 8th (Out of 11-12) is good enough and reason to lay idle.
The last few weeks I think he was really let down by the boys - They got a couple hidings in there they shouldn't have, Couple close games they shouldn't have lost.
It's been like that for a long, long time.

Would go a long way to find a better guy than Paul Fletcher, Can't doubt his commitment to the job.
Thanks Fletch - All the best.
