All the forwards had a good hard hit and played strong ...the forward stocks look pretty good moving forward the problem is many are the same types which is not great for a balanced pack .Tuki stands out as he is taller and offers a genuine off load but there is a group that are all similar.
As for a wing prospect I have been following Fitzgibbon with interest , have seen him live 4 times this season I must say the first time was very unimpressed but as each game passed he has certainly applied himself has plenty of speed and is willing to get involved ..here is the rub I still think defensively he is still learning .After the performance last night and the seemingly no options for wing does Fitzgibbons get a call up ?
The team in general played well good A &D structure and playing like a TEAM unlike the Nrl squad , it is great that the lower grade is performing so well unfortunately Maguire favours some and sticks no matter what but this will be his down fall . The Magpies coach certainly does the job as this certainly shows in his players they respect there leader seems a Cleary type and certainly has worked out the modern game ...well there is a lot to be happy about this lot they are having a real dig!
