Ava and Sue in the state cup trial game ?

I'm hoping it's just to give the other unknowns a chance to put forward their name for the upcoming season whilst also giving these two a run.

Fine at 6? First they take him out of the centres and tell him to be a 2nd rower. :brick:

You would have to think Taylor wants a look at him there, can't see the point, we have other better options in Littlejohn, Hunt and Rankin to play back up for NRL.

I honestly think that they have just run out of options given that these 3 are in the squad for the NRL trial

Asipeli is getting the Sitaleki treatment….

Second row, yes
Centre, yes
Wing, sure...
5/8 - NO.

Asipeli should pack his bags ASAP and talk to his manager, he isn't being looked after over here.

Hope you are right, and Taylor and Stringer are not serious about Fine at 5/8th.

End of season news -
Asipeli signs to a new club, slams the tigers in the media and says he has been suffering depression from not being able to lock a position down and things out of his reach being asked of him.

Guaranteed.

He won't be around for the 2017 season

That's a bizarre lineup to say the least. Not sure what to make of that. Fine at 6? Please…I don't think it's fair what they do to some players positionally.

It looks like they play the same game as with Akauola :frowning:
The other disappointment is Sue and Seumanufagai, they shall be part of the 1st team, or is there something behind the scene ? :frowning:

I am hoping Sue and Seumanufagai is simply around giving them more minutes and saving them from further travel.

Sh*t go by the club and coaching staff. Wasn't it only the other day Paul Stringer was praising him on his efforts in the 7s comp and thought he was the player of the tournament?

It's fair enough to be annoyed on behalf of Fine (especially in light of what happened with Akauola) but it is only a trial and all of our halves depth is being tested in the NRL trial. Part of the purpose of trials is to see how the next rung of players perform and it's already well known that Fine can perform at 2nd row or in the centres at NSW Cup level. They may just want to have a good look at the depth in those positions.

Hopefully we never see him at 5/8 during the season proper…

Didn't he get NSW cup centre of year two years ago? Shouldn't he get a fair go like lovett and Milone have

I think those two are getting more than a fair go to be honest…I'd rather have seen Fine in the NRL trial side than Milone, but I'm not going to get too upset over trial squads.

Hmmm , not sure what to make of this , but it is only a trial , never no some, players make just kick some butt and shock every one , could be a master stroke ( 6 )

I reckon they are going to try and gets big minutes out of Jesse and Ava

Pretty smart thinking actually , so we can do the same with our other starters in the NRL

Fine I just don't know , maybe they will interchange him and Jacobs at 6 ??
