Anyone else had a look at this.

You'd be surprised where you stand on issues, or how you relate to the two majors and the Greens.

Mine turned out very much as I expected.

I'm about the same as you.
I'll be voting for Baird.

While I don't agree with some of their policies (Lockout laws for example), the coalition has done a great job getting NSW back on track and for once we are going into an election with a positive policy platform.

I know it is funded by leasing government assets, but there seems to be a decent infrastructure platform for the election. I know it all won't come to fruition (the roads platform,) but I am pleased that the Libs are promising a feasbility study on a further $370m redevelopment of Nepean Hospital. It's just had an upgrade but is still not capable of looking after the area. My experiences with the hospital when I've had heart issues have been very pleasant and efficient but other people have struggled to get the attention they need in a reasonable time.

I think as a centrist you'll never support either of the major parties in totality.

I'll be voting the Libs based on the infrastructure platform and what they'll be doing for the Penrith region. I would hope that Baird is focused on removing the toxic culture of corruption that has been rife in the last few years though, although they are not alone on that.

I'm in the newly formed seat of Newtown. The Libs aren't even trying. They have offered a 23 year old 'event manager' as their candidate and told her not to turn up to public forums or respond to media requests for comment. I've read that they have pretty much done the same thing in Balmain.

This is disappointing because the two elctorates that will be majorly affected by the Westconnex are Newtown and Balmain. People in Newtown in particular have had a lot of questions about traffic flow and property resumptions that simply have not been answered as yet. The Westconnex website is pathetic. It looks like it was thrown together at the last minute and goes into no detail at all apart from "More roads = smile faces" type rubbish. The City of Sydney commissioned a report on it that absolutely slams it as a waste of time and money. Would be nice if the party that is pushing it would have the balls to at least offer one of their own to the area to answer a few questions.

They're almost nailed on Greens seats so they probably don't give a stuff.

Balmain has been Labor for the past 100 years, with the Greens also taking one or two of the recent elections. Can't see the greens getting back in this time though. Too much stuffing around.

Libs are always a distant 3rd, and when you're behind to the Greens there really isn't much point in running.

Also what's the link to the quiz you were showing your results for CB?

Do you want the vote compass link, or the link to my specific results?

I know, I'm a prospective buyer in the area and the WestConnex plans are extraordinarily vague. It has been a real topic of interest for me, but the information available is very very poor. The best info you can get is out of the local action groups who turn up to government meetings and heckle the govt / developer reps for tidbits of information, or at least confirmation that they don't really know.

I can't believe something so high-profile and hugely funded is so poorly explained to residents. Or maybe I can believe it, it smacks of the old Metro plan.

How are you supposed to make an informed vote with such poor information. Yes that area is already pro Labor or Greens, but Labor confirming that they will not build the St Peters interchange, Libs have 0% chance of taking those seats. And they don't seem to care.

My gut tells me it will be 90% based on the popularity, or not, of the electrical system sale, with some local area issues like education and hospital funding. Libs have done enough; NSW Labor still has a bit of an old smell about it and Foley is a totally vanilla candidate. Nobody seems that interested in protest voting against Abbott, who is a twit of the highest order.

Personally I am disappointed there aren't more moves afoot for public transport. I know there are a few plans in the north, extra bridge crossing, light rail along Anzac Pde, but my stomach turns at the plans to build more and more roads. You build 'em, people will fill 'em.

To be fair Jirskyr, protest voting at State level because of the Federal government is misguided. In my opinion, the Libs have done a reasonable job of turning the state economy around and don't warrant a change in government. Voting the Libs out at state level because you cannot stand Tony Abbott is akin to punching out the mate of a bloke you don't like.

Disclaimer: I cannot stand Abbott and vehemently refuse to vote Liberal at Federal level at the moment.

This is exactly my thoughts, if it wasnt for the mention of heart issues I could have written it!

In the Penrith electorate, the Liberal candidate is also very strong. The Labour candidate for me carries on like a spoilt brat (I went to primary school with her and she was a nice girl back then)

I found the compass very interesting. It placed me away from where I will be voting, but I think accurately summed me up.
