NYC Live Game Thread vs Sharks

Mulcahey - won't make it . Moses on the other hand is better then Brooks IMO although both could play together in the halves

Won't make it?? Big call, considering the pinheads we have playing first grade at the moment.

Moses was outstanding again last night.

His kicking game was lethal. Planted a beautiful cross field kick for Nofoaluma to go over, a few minutes later did a chip and chase on the halfway line and regathered to beat half a dozen defenders to score. His long kicks were constantly turning the Sharks around and the strong chase was pinning them in the corners.

Put Brooks and Moses in State Cup together NOW! These guys need to play together as much as possible. Build the already established relationship between them so they can step into firsts together.

Would be great for them to play state cup together until the beginning of next year they can both come in together if ready.

Both these kids are only 18 even the best young halves these days didn't come into first grade until 21 ( cherry Evans, Reynolds) , even Joey Johns was 20 by the time he was a fg fixture. So those 2 are probably more likely to be first grade in 2016 in reality. That's been my sue with Miller he probably needed a full year in NSW cup before he was ready too but he was too impatient

Keep Benji for the final year of his contract next season, dont re-sign him, and let Moses and Brooks play 2013 and 2014 in State Cup. They're already too good for the U20s

rubbish throw them in now , even if it means we dont win a game all year . but they will be ready for next year and get rid of big head benji.

Vela was also great last night
A Thaiday clone who also can hurt in defence

Thaiday can hurt in defence….he just needs 2 or 3 blokes to hold the player up so that he can smash into his back. Cat.

Really liked the look of Dallas graham. Is the ideal mould of todays prop and at 19 still has some beef to put on. A few years off but definitely one to watch

How is Brown going this year? I really like the idea of using him in first grade off the bench as a fearless pig. Reminds me of Josh Miller, who I always thought was underrated.

What is the injury update on Dooner?, Mat Mulcahy, can he make the step up to NRL?.

Thought Mulcahy's defence was some of the worst I have ever seen… Alot of young halves are like speedbumps in defence, but Matt doesnt even try!

He has some work to do in this area before coming close to playing NRL...

Mitchell Moses is the one!!!

Why moses now watto? one game in nyc doesn't make god all of a sudden. I'd say both brooks and moses are equal in ability right now but Brooks fits into our team better as a halfback.

If you want to play Brooks at Halfback inside Marshall, he too will be cannon fodder.

Marshall should remain Halfback and that will allow us to bring in an X Factor to spark our attack… Mitchell fits that bill better than Luke.

[he is like a whippet though?]

Brooks is 89kg. Moses is 75kg. Moses simply isn't big enough to defend in the middle in the NRL right now. He would get hurt badly. Brooks is closer to an NRL sized halfback.

Injury seems to be interrupting his season so far.

Moses was outstanding again, I reckon the Brooks/Moses debate will rage on for a while, I like them both as players.
Brooks has a bigger frame and seems more NRL ready at the moment.

I thought Vela was alot better on friday as well, im glad he has returned to form

Glad to hear Vela is improving, we some strike power among the forwards, and he provides it when in form.
