Bit of a brainfade in the last 25-30 mins, but they reeled it in.

Miller definitely gave them some added spark.

Wests Tigers recorded a convincing 30-16 victory over joint leaders Brisbane Broncos at the Sydney Football Stadium tonight in round 7 of the NYC competition.

A dominating first half performance saw the Wests Tigers in control before a late Broncos fightback made things interesting.

Wests Tigers opened the scoring in the 2nd minute when captain and second-rower Shaun Spence offloaded a one handed pass on half-way to centre Matt Evans who race 50 metres to score next to the posts. Half-back Jacob Miller converted the try for a 6-0 lead.

It became 10-0 when prop Neil Begovich powered his way through two defenders in a 10 metre run to score next to the posts after running off a short pass by hooker Pat Politoni. Miller converted for a 12-0 lead after 8 minutes.

Wests Tigers jumped to a 16-0 lead in the 26th minute when Politoni dived over the line after interchange prop Sebastian Vourlos powered his way to the line. The ball was knocked down in a tackle by the Broncos before Politoni picked it up to score. Miller converted the try for an 18-0 lead.

A strong run by prop Neil Begovich took play to 20 metres out. A quick play the ball saw Politoni split the defence to beat three defenders to score next to the posts. Miller converted for a 24-0 lead after 60 minutes.

The Broncos opened their account in the 63rd minute when hooker Kurt Baptiste sliced through from dummy half to score. Second-rower Mitchell Frei converted the try for a 24-6 scoreline.

Three minutes later, Baptiste did the same move to score his second try. Frei converted for a 24-12 scoreline.

Brisbane half-back Cameron Cullen then sliced through to score out wide. Frei converted the try for a 24-16 scoreline.

Wests Tigers secured victory in the 77th minute when five-eighth Curtis Sironen took the defence on to score near the posts. Miller converted the try for a 30-16 lead.

Miller kicked 5 from 5 to keep his perfect record intact in the NYC competition.

The win moves Wests Tigers to 6 points and ends a frustrating few weeks for this talented team.
