Good effort by the boys! Sparked by Moses with a break away try the boys turned it up a notch or two and took out a well earned win! Proud of the boys tonight!

NYC: Wests Tigers beat Bulldogs 30-28

Wests Tigers recorded a hard fought 30-28 victory over Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium tonight in round 8 in the NYC competition.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the third minute when prop Lloyd Perrett scored under the posts. Full-back Patrick Templeman converted for a 6-0 lead.
It became 10-0 when five-eighth Moses Mbye finished off a break to beat full-back Kurtis Rowe to score under the posts. Templeman converted the try for a 12-0 lead after 13 minutes.
Wests Tigers opened their account in the 20th minute when full-back Kurtis Rowe scored in the left corner. Winger Manania Rudolph converted the try for a 12-6 scoreline.
Canterbury-Bankstown stretched their lead to 16-6 in the 29th minute when winger John Sila used his strength to push off two defenders down the left flank. Templeman converted for an 18-6 lead.
Rowe grabbed his second try in the 34th minute when he dived over next to the posts. Rudolph converted the try to leave Wests Tigers trailing 18-12.
2nd Half
The Bulldogs went to a 22-2 lead when half-back Jaline Graham stepped his way past the defence out wide to score. Templeman converted for a 24-12 lead.
Half-back Mitchell Moses got Wests Tigers back to 24-16 after 58 minutes when he sliced through a gap to race 50 metres untouched in an angle run to score behind the posts. Rudolph converted to leave Wests Tigers trailing 24-18.
Wests Tigers centre Leva Li scored a brilliant individual try when he made a break down the right flank before stepping past the defence to score near the posts in the 62nd minute. Rudolph converted the try to make it 24-all.
The Bulldogs went to a 28-24 lead in the 61st minute when winger John Sila was on the end of a floating pass from Templeman to score. Templeman failed to convert the try.
A nice piece of play from Rowe saw him link up with Rudolph who stepped inside the winger and then beat the full-back to score out wide in the 75th minute in the 75th minute. Rudolph converted the try to give Wests Tigers a 30-28 lead.
Wests Tigers held on to record their fourth win of the season. The only main concern for Wests Tigers was a knee injury to promising back-rower Daniel Rakvin.
 
Having listened to the score updates on 2GB the Cubs must have dug really deep to overcome the early Bulldogs lead, hope they can inspire the NRL guys!.
