Interesting to see Roqica back on the bench after spending the last couple of months playing for BRET.

I have yet to see Kyle Lovett play, how does this young fella look out there?

What is Sheens doing …
First he takes Simona , then BMM & now Miller from this great team.
Hasn't he heard of experienced State Cup players
1) Sean Meaney in for Simona & goal kicker
2) Moors ( who has been playing great)in for BMM
3) experienced Nathan Waters , who knows Campbelltown backwards , in for Benji ( instead of Miller) to Play halfback & Molzen 5/8
All those great young players should be playing for the 20s

If he stuffs up this team chances on winning the premiership I will be spewing as I put $200 on them on the 23rd May paying $2,600.

willow future rep player who is a demon in defence a runs the ball straight and hard from fivedock club a top prospect was the best player for 18s on wed night. also our 20s have been gutted again losing three best players sheesh.

Im yet to see Lovett, but got tipped him the other week, lookiing forward to seeing him in NYC, Damo the bloke I was talking to, compared him to a Luke O'Donnell style player, do you reckon that is a reasonable assessment.
Ive been told a certain first grader

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have been dealt their first loss in Toyota Cup in two months, a late comeback not enough as the Wests Tigers ran out a 22-18 winner at Campbelltown Stadium.

With the Dogs coming into the match having won seven straight, three tries to Tigers winger Marika Koroibete inside the opening 50 minutes proved the catalyst in the Tigers win, the visitorrs fighting back to within four points four minutes from time only to ultimately fall short.

In a further blow, the Bulldogs lost centre Tim Lafai to a shoulder injury in the first half.

The Bulldogs trailed 6-nil early after a converted try to winger Marika Koroibete, which came off a cross field bomb from Curtis Sironen, who converted for a 6-nil lead after 14 minutes.

The deficit was nullified approaching the half hour mark when Chris Centrone scored off a neat backline move down the left edge, TJ Taotua marking his return to action by nailing the tough conversion to make it 6-all.

Koroibete bagged his second just before half time, when he latched onto the end of a 50 metre movement to hand his side a 10-6 half time lead.

Soon after the resumption the winger made it three tries for the night - and seven for the week - when he latched onto a spilled ball in the Bulldogs in goal for a 16-6 lead.

He could have made it four when he touched down soon after, only to see the try called back when referee David Munro ruled the last pass forward.

The Dogs counter punched almost immediately, with Taotua stepping his way through the line 40 metres out before finding Gerard McCallum, who in turn threw a pass across the face of the posts for Josh Gill to score.

Now down 16-12 the Bulldogs surged without result, and were then dealt a massive blow when five eighth James Tedesco who scored four tries against the Storm last week jinked his way over close to the posts, with Sironen gifted the easiest of conversions to make it 22-12 with seven minutes to play.

With it all to do, the Dogs fought their way back into the contest with four minutes remaining when McCallum got a knee to a hail Mary pass then won the race to the ball, touching down for Taotua to convert for a 22-18 score line.

It would be as close as the Dogs would get as the Tigers held on to win by four.

WESTS TIGERS BEAT BULLDOGS 22-18 IN U20s

Wests Tigers recorded a hard fought 22-18 win over Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in round 16 of the NYC competition at Campbelltown Sports Stadium tonight.

Missing quality half Jacob Miller due to promotion to the NRL side, Wests Tigers won a tough forwards battle to secure the two competition points against the second placed Bulldogs.

The win moves Wests Tigers to 20 points and in sixth place, subject to weekend results.

Wests Tigers opened the scoring in the 14th minute when a crossfield bomb by five-eighth Curtis Sironen was defused by Fijian winger Marika Koroibete. Sironen converted the try for a 6-0 lead.

The Bulldogs replied with a try to winger Chris Centrone in the 27th minute for a 6-4 scoreline. TJ Taotua converted the try for a 6-6 scoreline.
Koribete then scored his second try in the 33rd minute when he made a 40 metre break down the left side for a 10-6 lead.
It remained that way until half-time.

2ND Half
Koribete got his hat-trick in the 44th minute when he finished off an attacking raid to score near the posts. Sironen converted the try for a 16-6 scoreline.

A minute later, Koribete was over for his fourth try only to be denied on a forward pass call by the referee. Had the try been awarded, Koribete would have equalled the U20s record of four tries in a game held by James Tedesco and Jake Mullaney.

The Bulldogs took advantage of the good fortune when back-rower Josh Gill finished off a break down the middle of the field to score next to the posts. Taotua converted the try for a 16-12 scoreline after 53 minutes.

Desperate defence by Wests Tigers saw second-rower Tupou Sopoaga held up under the posts in 69th minute.

Wests Tigers stretched their lead to 20-12 when exciting full-back James Tedesco stepped through the defence to drag a couple of defenders over the line to put the ball down next to the posts. Sironen converted the try for a 22-12 lead after 73 minutes.

The Bulldogs received a touch of luck in the 76th minute when the referee ruled an inside pass bounced off the leg of Gerard McCallum who then followed the ball through to score in-goal. Taotua converted the try for a 22-18 scoreline.

Wests Tigers held on in the dying stages to record a well deserved win.

Willow was that a Tigers record of 4 tries or an NRL record . Thought Rangi Chase got 5 tries in NYC (or was it NSW cup ??) against Rabbitohs

Dave Topliss and Larry Corowa dont count for first grade because they played for Balmain not the Wests Tigers.

High all ,got to that game a bit early to watch this game. This team seems to be a very well drilled outfit. They were well orgonised in defence and showed plenty of enterprise in attack. I was particularly impressed with our no3 David Nofoaluma and our no 5 Faleula Finau. These two had outstanding games They played with enthusiasm in defence and realy made a lot of quality meters in attack. Their possitional play was also flawless. Well done boys you have big futures in the game imo.

YES both Australian schoolboys…so plenty of talent and potential..enormous potential.. attitude sometimes on the training paddock lets them both down...if they can fix that up they will both reach that potential.

have not seen a lot of nofoaluma, but i have read other reports talking about his ability. is he likely to step up to fg in one or two years ?

Nofoaluma and Tedesco will both be in FG in 2013 but it wont be with the Tigers.

Well fair enough.

If thats the case stop putting any money into them now.

No point putting money and time into those who have made their mind up to head elsewhere.

Dont let the door hit their arse on the way out
