It's a bit hard to tell with these kids. Weight doesn't necessarily mean strength, so until they are doing full year-long FG conditioning, they might just be big heavy kids.

I personally wouldn't mind having a few shorter forwards in the team, frames more like Gallen or Parker that aren't so upright and instead widest around the hips. We've tended to have quite tall forwards over the years, but I think that sometimes gives the opposition more frame to aim their shoulders at.

Your right on both counts. The second point Taylor mentioned at the night with the coaches. Our front rowers woods, Galloway, Ava etc are all very tall which is actually easier for shorter stockier guys to dig the shoulder in and drive. It also than makes it harder for them to dominate in defence as they can't get the shoulder in a good tight spot.
 
Don't disagree… But it's when they're short and giving away 20+ Kgs that I have a problem with it.
Next year will be really telling for Back Rowers... Most Back Rowers will be forced to play for 80.. That should sort it out a bit.
