It was very disappointing that the NYC couldn't close this one out. Should have scored 2 tries in the last 10 mins but couldn't, took the 2 points when they were available which gave us the lead, but not the knockout blow.
The knockout blow came when Marsters (i think it was) reached out for an incredibly obvious and stupid double movement under the posts on the 4th tackle with 4 mins to go. We could have built pressure or scored but this player wanted to be the hero. Hopefully he learns from this mistake. This gave Souths a penalty, possession down field and they ended up strolling through to score after an overlap and scrambling defence which wasn't quite there.
A good comeback, but we should have beaten this side. When this team focuses they can play anyone off the park, but still very hot and cold consistency wise thus far. Didn't see the whole game but the two starting props looked very good - Felise and Pio. Liddle also looked very dangerous.
