a couple of things from tonight's game..
1\. If we are looking for an option for Fullback consider Nufalouma.. Gr8 under the high ball, not afraid to run the ball back hard & solid in defense
2\. I was watching Mulcahey warm up last week against the storm. This guy is seriously quick. Don't know who decided to put him in for these last 2 games but what a master stroke..won us the game 2 night and even though his is light didn't seem to be a liability in defense
3\. Hats off to Todd …made the hard decisions and dropped a couple of players and put everyone on notice...result..never say die attitude ..and 2 wins
4\. Does anyone know why Miller was dropped from kicker this year? We won 2 nite cause he kicked 100 per cent. Injury or attitude

Thx SL

cant find anything online about the game, no even on the official site

Anyone post more info??

Well Rudolph was kicker before he got dropped and I think he was the leading pointscorer for the comp. I assume if he was still in the starting lineup he would have kicked. Miller had a good night tonight but I wouldn't describe him as a sharpshooter.

Rowe was dangerous. I haven't seen him play badly at fullback and have no idea why he was ever moved from there. Our record with him at the back is absurdly good.
Noffa was … rather off tonight. Which is good considering we won without him going too well.
Fine and Soe are both underrated.
Koroibete was just as expected, brilliant and way too good for NYC. He could be the difference and take us all the way if over the next two weeks Payto can find a way to inject him into the game more.
Mulcahy was excellent. He took a while to come on but once he did he was outstanding. He is very quick. He reminds me a bit of Moltzen, in a good way.
Miller was rocks and diamonds but once Mulcahy scored the first try it seemed to inspire Miller (perhaps out of fear of being shown up) and he started running the ball and he looks a very dangerous ball runner tbh.
(Interesting fact, Mulcahy and Miller are from the same CRL club the Mullumbimby Giants and correct me if I'm wrong but would have played together as juniors at some stage almost certainly.
Saunders was very good. A simple dummy half but does it all very effectively. Gets out of dummy half at the right times and gives good service. Reminds me a lot of Isaac De Gois.

The forwards were all outstanding. Particular nod to Nathan Brown who put his hand up all game. He is a Bryce Gibbs clone.

Very impressive the way this team turned the game around. Bulldogs were right on top early and looked too strong but full credit to WTs they hung in and turned the game, lots of guts, didn't give up, and I have to be honest and say that from what I have seen of them this year I didn't think they could do it. Very proud of these young blokes who stood up and could well have found the confidence and self belief to give the comp a good shake.

Havent seen alot of nyc this year but saw the game last night who of the current crop are most likely to be able to make the step up next year to fg.

Obviously we have a half decent side we finished forth and knocked off the minor premiers.

In the forwards I like the look of Sauaso Sue. A couple of the other forwards have fair support too, although they don't hit the line as hard.

Miller, the wingers, santi and fotauika are the only ones for mine. Happy for others to prove me wrong

I thought the kid playing 5/8 was better than Miller. He turned the game around in the 2nd half. Kurtis Rowe looked okay but needs more development before he's in line to play NRL.

How old is mulcahey.

The best part of Miller's game was his goalkicking- it was the difference in the end. The rest of his game was average IMO and not up to NRL standard.

Very good team effort by the young fellas

I thought he defended really well. There was some strong contact in that game and I was surprised to see that often it was Miller that made first contact. I was impressed with this aspect of his game and his kicking game. Didn't always hit the mark, but much better than what we have been used to in First Grade this year.
