Off contract list 2022.

Now show me this list of players under contract:
- blokes who think they’re worth more $
- blokes who don’t get on with their coach
- blokes who are stuck behind a club stalwart
- blokes who Stefano likes

Treymain Sprey

I was going to mention him. I haven’t watched the final yet so I’m not sure of the result from the game the other day between Tweed Heads and Norths Devils

*please don’t tell me the result*

But in the pre match there was a bit of talk about him being one to look out for.

Anything you can add? And or the others you mentioned?

No great first hand knowledge, but they are generally young blokes well regarded. Spry & Hughes were both very highly rated

Weve got a truckload of $$$,and about the same amount of fringe first graders actually playing in the top 13!
We need quality signings who are proven at this level ,particularly in prop and centre, our two weakest spots
Our recriuitment team shld be doing their homework like other teams do to us every year with our supposedly contracted players
Paulo and lomax wld work just fine of course
But no more burnt out retirees, and no more fringe first vgraders
Aim high

realistically that's the best we can probably do right now.

Yep, sad reality. Welcome, Tolman.

Tolman..Sims..pass.Id rather go with youth/Poms/whatever
Weve learnt that lesson over and over..just got rid of 3 of em tbh

Sims would be worthwhile going on his work ethics , training wise and the fact he is a current S O O player, young blokes need leaders

Im actually thinking(hoping?)that the reason causing the pendulum to swing Madges way at the 11th hour (rather than the guillotine!)was indeed Madges links with the NZ team, and the strong possibility in his Board presentation of attracting a few...?
Apart from $750k reasons, which itself wasnt a late change to sway anyones mind,,thats the only reason for a last minute change of heart surely.?

He hasn't brought in many if any in 3yrs I don't see that changing now. Think possibly Ken Maumalo the only one.

Don’t hold your breath. With Lee mentioning that we should expect some signings in the next 2 weeks it’s only the off contract boys or at a push Sims or Taupau that fit that category. If there is some moves with contracted players the first news will be there club agreeing to release them. Or like in the Foggerty scenario a sneaky Manager goes to Press to announce the interest hoping his current club actually feel like they are getting a win out of it.
Silly.

I'd give Tom Ale a nsw cup contract and let him train and trial with nrl in the off-season. Could be another Papali'i

Cool name.

Hasn't happened in 3 years I can't see it happening now.
