Thought we’d miss Reynolds - not a bit. Thought we’d miss Taylor - didn’t miss a beat. Was certain we’d miss Packer - everyone else stepped up. We have a VERY well thought out squad. We replace like for like. For the first time in years I’m confident that the 17 that are picked will step up. Also, I no longer panic when we make our forwards interchanges.
Paul Kent said we’d struggle when injuries hit. They have hit - and we haven’t missed a beat!!

I don't always watch the show but I saw that episode of 360 is well. Kent was looking at ways to bag the Tigers. But it was a bit hard for him because we have only lost one game (by a dodgy call) and financially the WTs are in a good position. We don't have any off field dramas for him to mention. All Kent could say was "I still don't know about Go and if the lose a few I don't think they have much depth".
Does he do research or just goes of his gut instinct ?
I think you'll find we have had to change the team around each week, which requires depth and our ISP team is coming 1st.

Yeah he said "I don't think Go is up to it" when Ikin mentioned that the board needs to be given credit as well and then said that we will fall apart as soon as our depth is tested

Does he even pay attention

I just watched that and what he said doesn't make sense. I don't think we've had our strongest 17 on the park at the same time at all this season. Then consider that we have 2 former origin players in reserve grade in Grant and McQueen and international players in Sue (who has got his chance at the moment) and Fonua. If he's looking for a weakness to pick at depth was a poor choice.

If Godinet drops off McQueen should come in for him with Taylor taking on the hooking role. Gamble should only come in as a half, it's not going to do him any good coming into top grade to play out of position.

P.Kent also mentioned that he thinks the Tigers won't be able to keep the intensity up in defence for the year. I think some of these blokes are probably still shell shocked with the fact that the Tigers have started so well and just can't get a grasp of it.

Why wouldnt they keep up their intensity. You go out, you play. You play your best. You play to your ability.

All of our team are playing to their ability. They are fit based on the off season reports. Each has shown flashes in each game at different times but they have been consistent. Other than Noff in one game, no one has had a complete shocker but, even in that game he did some good things.

When one is injured or down on form we bring in someone keen to do the job, play their best, play to their ability and most importantly to the game plan set.

Don't think Godinet will miss out. He was frequently at dummy half during attacking drills at concord yesterday. Benji looked good too.

Yeah. That'd be right up there with some of the greatest fan banners of all time.
It'd compete with "who needs a big willy when you've got a clever tongue", which I've always thought to be the best one yet.

I’d love to see Gamble in firsts but Cleary has shown he pretty much prefers to swap like for like. I reckon if Godinet was out, MM would come in before Gamble.
