We can't have Luani, Austin and Halatau all in the same squad. That's 3 hookers!!!!

Either Halatau or Austin should start at hooker and leave Luani in NSW Cup. He hasn't impressed in his efforts so far this season and the experience of the other two should hopefully see the team go forward.

I say, lose Luani, bring in Austin and have 4 forwards on the bench!!

And don't get me started on Lulia??!!

yeah ok, some of these selections make no sense, unless maybe Anasta is injured and may not be right to play, but the bench is still a tad too light

except Austin has trained at 6 all season, and Halatau will probably be playing in the 2nd row. So it's actually just 1 hooker, or maybe 2 if Luani is unable to go the full 80.

Lulia is cover for Simona.

….MUCH BETTER.

Two smaller men on the bench ???With Souths pack, you either try and match them for size and power or you try and run them around off their feet, Potter is going with plan B.

Not sure if i think Siro is a starting back rower yet, the good thing we have three players who can play dummy half if rquired

I don't like this team at all. We got dominated in the forwards last week, and that was with woodsy. We need more size and aggression, not less!

First team though where I've strongly disagreed with Potter. He is usually spot on. This looks more like Sheens is back at the reins.

The bench looks more than a little light especially against Souths. I'd like to see Austin drop off and replaced with Gavet but I assume Gavet is injured or needs some more time.

I like Halatau as the small bench player.

I also want to see Sirro get out there and kill them. That backrow now looks big and tough. I was worried about the backrow at the start of the year but the way that Blair and Thompson have been playing means that if Sirro gets some form we have a great backrow.

We beat Souths last time by dominating their forwards. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Silly selection

the longer we go without Gavet - the more we realise how important he is - especially this week!
No Koroibete & June 30 is looming. The BIG plus is that Sirro is back. We can do this. Bring it on baby!!!!!

Saying our bench is a tad light is like saying the Titanic took on a bit of water

We will get dominated

And if what they said in the HT report in our game is true Sirro is no chance of playing

I don't get the Gavet hype at all. So, I have no issue with him not being named. Maybe Halatau is there as the Fulton replacement; smallish frame and just tackle his guts out. Success will come down to how Galloway and his subs handle the tough stuff, not just in defence but also in the carry forward. I am just about over Keithy to be honest. When he really needs to stand up and lead by example he tends to disappoint.

Mick Potter in his Potter's Preview states that he believes the game will be won or lost on the physical contact side. Strange therefore that looking at the side he has picked it looks like Blake Austin will be on the bench along with either 2 forwards and Halatau?

lol it's not like Potter hasn't picked Gavet based on form…dude must still be underdone or injured otherwise of course he'd be in the team. You'd think likewise w Patterson.

But the Halatau and Lulia choices are surprising. Really think Aka deserves a shot ahead of Dene at this stage as the utility role is already filled by Austin. As some have said, two of Halatau Austin and Luani but not all three!

Against Souths we may need three fullbacks but not three hookers!
