The problem is that those match officials are the ones that are closely examining our style of play, it's a very slow turn around to change the attitudes of those that are officiating at our games and when and if we change our style of play it probably won't have an immediate effect on their attitudes and preconceived ideas about us as a team.
If we improve our wrestle to the level of other teams we will get pinged for holding down or some other excuse for an infringement.
If we get up in their face at marker and try to stop the opposition from walking off the mark we get pinged for not being square or crowding.
If we increase our speed and rush up in defense we will get pinged for being off side because historically no Tigers defense could be that fast.
If we improve our kick chase or competition for the high ball we get pinged for attacking the defending player/tackling the opposing player while in the air/not attempting to go for the ball/new rule invented just to cater for Wests Tigers etc.
If we get good at going up for the high ball when we are defending there will be an escort or some other infringement found.
If we get a quick play the ball they look closely at it to see if it was done properly.
That flat pass was probably forward because they don't normally make a break like that, it was just way too good to be a Wests Tigers play.
If we score a try there must be an obstruction or something illegal in the lead up to it, or the best one of all, we won't even bother sending that one upstairs because it couldn't possibly have been a try.
I'm trying to do my best to paint a picture of what I believe goes on and it may be exaggerated to an extent, but the point I am trying to make is that it is a slow process to turn this ship around and probably starts with gaining some credibility by starting to win games as hard as that is with a roster that could be better, players that are currently unavailable for selection and with some of the decisions that we have going against us.

It’s a pity that his name wasn’t Sutton or he would have referred every Grand Final SOO and every international game.
If he had i would reckon he would have picked the winner before every game
