Oliver Clark will become Wests Tigers Player #224 after being named by Coach Michael Maguire to make his first-grade debut in Friday's Round 9 clash against the Penrith Panthers.

Clark has been named on the bench for his NRL debut after impressing in his first full season with Wests Tigers, having joined the club midway through the season last year after an immediate switch from this week's opponents, Penrith.

A Quakers Hill junior, Clark is a powerful prop who has featured in numerous junior representative sides for New South Wales already in his short career, and will add plenty to the Wests Tigers engine room this week against the Panthers.

Clark progressed through the junior grades at the foot of the mountain with appearances in the NSW U/16's (2012), U/18's (2013) and U/20's (2015-16), before stepping up to the then Intrust Super Premiership competition after that.

The 22-year-old ran for 195 metres from his 16 carries while adding 37 tackles without missing in 56 minutes during last week's Canterbury Cup game.

He has been named on the bench by Coach Michael Maguire, and will become the second Wests Tigers player to make their NRL debut this year after Thomas Mikaele made his debut against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in Round 1.

Can't be any worse than Packer, who imo should never run out in a WT Jersey again.

Play well and the spot is yours mate.

Had about 3-4 offloads in that CC game aswell, something we have been lacking in... hopefully he can bring that in to this game aswell.
