Once The Dust Settles.......

The board, administrators and coaches have the chance to re-build the Wests Tigers from the ground up and this time, they have the chance to do it properly. The club should never allow our top players to be off contract at the same time ever again. The club should never allow back loaded contracts again. The club should never allow players to dictate how the club is run again. The club should never allow a boys club again. The club should never allow mediocrity to be accepted again. The club should never allow any player to be above the club again.

I hope a lesson is learned from the mess that is almost cleaned up and those in a position of power begin to re-build the Wests Tigers, but do it right this time.

We're not re-building. Re-building takes 2 to 3 yesrs for results to come. With the cap issues clearing we are re-setting. With the right recruits we'll be in solid shape next year.

Culture wise, the club is making huge leaps. Cleary will play a major role in this going forward. In the 3 days he's been here, there's clarity around our halves after months of uncertainty. This time next week i reckon we will know where Woods and Tedesco stand too. Things are moving very fast now. There's a new a sherriff in town lads.

Well said, re-setting is what this club needs under a new coach. Clarity with Cleary.

The Sherriff arrived 18 months back. Against so much negativity and naivety has continued to battle away. Now he has been joined by "his mate", a highly regarded and extremely capable deputy. Why do you all think we got Ivan Cleary.

Agree 100 percent with GRN , we are re organising our roster at the best time Possible , we have talent here some just need a tweek , we can move players on who are under achievers , we can move players on who don't want to be here , Brooks under Cleary may just do wonders for this kid , Teddy I'd he signs would be great and I think Cleary won't let this drag on , I think 1 or 2 weeks max and we will know who is going who is staying and then some new blood will be purchased , there is plenty of players off contract and I think we still can give this year a good shake , we may not play finals Footy but we will be in good shape for 2018 , Cleary won't let us go out week after week and get flogged he will make changes

I think it has been a curse and a blessing at once.

It's been negative for the club in the media attention it has brought but it as Gunners has said it has allowed us to start from scratch. Not a re-build as such, but a clean slate. We should be able to to see relative success quickly.

The wheels on the bus go round and round…

It's a rebuild Cleary needs to get to the low point so he knows what he is working with.
Woods and Tedesco's futures have to be settled assuming they are gone he has a full salary cap to buy players. If they stay it's more of a retool but I now believe strongly we are better off starting again. Teddy is a huge loss everyone else doesn't really matter as they are asking huge dollars and simply not worth it including Woods.

The issue is with the players gone we won't be able to attract any stars. That said a squad of hardened first graders would be a real change for us fans.

Sadly the boys club is still alive and well. Sell the lot of them.

"Offered for immediate transfer at the right price or will consider straight swaps for real NRL players.
Aaron Woods. Lacks off-field captaincy skills but will smile a lot and always good for a laugh.
Mitchell Moses. Excellent ball runner when confronted by opposition props.
James Tedesco. Will attack the line for financial gain and form sure to improve around Origin time."

Losing Teddy would also mean losing a faint glimmer of hope. We have to keep him regardless…
Still plenty of cap room with him on big money and ditching the rest. Theres about 3 current players I would bother keeping, Nofo, et, maybe suli and MCK at a stretch, the rest can ship off...

There's plenty of Players off contract we should target that would not cost a whole lot but are good footy players and better than what we have. We need a moneyball approach + Teddy. Similar to what Brad Arthur did with Parra.

Jai Arrow, Blake Leary, Christian Welch, Joe ofahengaue, Jordan Kahu, Craig Garvey, NAS, Ben Matulino, Dane Gagai, SJ, Milford, Jack Stockwell, Bodene Thompson, Scott Bolton, Gideon Mosby, Will Matthews, Dean Whare, Aidan Guerra, Zane Tetevano. Even bring back Albert Kelly from the superleague. Could make a solid squad out of half of these blokes. But imo is pointless if we don't keep teddy.

Woods, Ballin, Edwards, Grant, Sue, Lovett, Naiqama, Semenfungai, Lawrence, Aloiai, Idris all dead weight.
