Liverpool is Tiger territory.

It’s Bulldogs territory. The Bulldogs know it and more importantly the NRL knows it. Liverpool is the Bulldogs takeover v2.0.

Uhh no it isn’t. Where the stadium would be, on the corner of Hoxton Park road and the Hume Highway, that’s in Tiger territory. Dogs territory starts when you go over the bridge on Newbridge road, down towards Mororebank.

Makes no difference, it’s Bulldogs territory. They know it and so does the NRL.

I don’t give a toss what they think they know. Junior teams in Liverpool fall under the Tigers banner. That’s all that matters.

It has nothing todo with juniors, it’s the fans that count. Liverpool will have crickets at home games.

Like Bankwest...?

Declining attendance at BankWest @ Wests Tigers home games. BankWest is getting close.

I say again , what is your solution ?

At this stage it’s SFS. Fairly neutral area. You won’t be bombarded with Roosters stuff like you are with Parra stuff at BankWest, which happens regardless of who we play at BankWest. The Roosters are no threat to the Wests Tigers in regards to possible merger/takeover, unlike the Bulldogs and Liverpool. SFS has good easy to access central transport with parking at Moore Park when needed. Close to great food and drink. Closer to Headquarters (Wests Ashfield) and COE (Concord). Easy to get to from for out of towners as well via the Airport or Central Station if they want to attend with great accommodation nearby.

A revamped ANZ would have been ideal but that’s not going to happen for the foreseeable future. Can’t see CSS being redeveloped either. So SFS it is.

It is not in our area, we would likely be sharing with 2 other teams and it makes no sense. People complain about a lack of identity but then want to be a team called Wests playing in the Eastern Suburbs.

Because they live in the inner suburbs , and really they want the team close to them for convenience . It has absolutely nothing to do with what’s best for the club .

I live in the Western suburbs and will take an 1.5 hrs to get there by public transport .. 98% of supporters would need to travel .The clubs 2 main facilities are situated in the inner west !

The SFS isn't in the inner west?

It’s not on Bondi Beach either, but it’s easier to get to for most than Liverpool.

For most?

It it closer to Bondi Beach than it is to Concord Oval.

And your point is? Are you saying Liverpool is closer to Concord or Ashfield?

I'm saying it is stupid for a team that is called Wests to play in the Eastern Suburbs. The idea of one home ground is to solidify the clubs identity, this would confuse the identity more.

Rubbish

Maybe we are the West Bondi Tigers?

So you would rather destroy the franchise and play at Liverpool just to satisfy your idea of geography and naming conventions?

What if they remove the Wests off the jersey. ?

Then you wouldn't have a team at all people easily forget it's the Wests side of the merger that keeps the dream alive

Theyre talking about losing the Wests tigers from the emblem. Just having the tiger head.

not as good as bankWEST. (which is garbage)

Sharing a suburban club would be death for the Tigers. No other club shares a suburban ground and like it or not we are a precarious club due to the disaster of the last 10 years. I am a SFS supporter (in Melbourne 4 teams share the MCG) but if we are going to remain suburban I would definitely choose CSS over Liverpool. You can’t have a “local” ground that is shared with another “local” team. You are basically saying you are redundant. If it’s not SFS go all in on Campbelltown

Easts, Souths and Wests all playing out of the Sydney Football Stadium sounds pretty good to me. If North’s were still in the NRL I’d play them out of there as well.

bugger one home ground. play half at leichhardt half at campbelltown. lobby gov for improvements at both. if one gets improved judge situation at that point in time. our strength is having lots of areas in sydney - nothing to be gained from burning either region.

I will point out to you that Souths play in the West. Anyway West is relative... SFS is West of the Pacific Ocean.

I like to go home grounds that the vast majority of the crowd are vocal and right behind the WTs.
When we played out of the old SFS we were well supported.
I don’t know if its was because its easy for people to get to, has pubs and food facilities surrounding or weather we were winning more back then.

It takes me 1 and a half hrs to drive to Penrith from the south coast , and used to take me 1.5 hrs to drive from the shire to Penrith .
And that was before they upgraded northern Rd.

For Thursday and Friday night games through Sydney Traffic, I can absolutely believe it could take at least 1.5hrs to get there. In peak hour alone it can take you up to 40-60 minutes just to get out of the CBD.

South’s appear to be moving to the SFS from 2024. My guess is they have a similar distribution of fans to the Tigers ie legacy inner city boomers and growth in outer suburb members as people have moved for cheaper housing etc. it has probably also helped them that after being based in ANZ for 15yrs that have collected a broader geographic catchment. They are now doing the smart thing and taking all those fans to the best rugby league stadium in the world. They are an absolute powerhouse club.
