Our Backrow

Wow how good is our backrow looking - all three are outsatnding and i expect with a few runs Ellis will go up a notch or two - we now have 3 backroweres that can hit the line hard and make good yardage - Dwyer was superb in attack tonight, picking his moment to run and shadowing Benji around the park - when Ellis gets back in to the swing i can see these two mesmerising defences running off Benji.

Dwyer has this in his game, but he also still has some issues that he needs to work hard on. He will be a very good backrower once he sorts a few things out. His build, speed and hole running on the edges is what i love about backrowers, so lets hope he cuts the mistakes out soon and really makes his mark.

Theres not much to say about Ellis, he's a gun.

Heighno has a role to play and he's doing his job just fine. I would like to see him a little more involved but maybe he doesnt have to now because these young forwards are putting there hands up.

I know he didn't get much game time, but schirnack impressed me too last night, he hits the line hard and has a nice step as he gets to the line allowing him to get his arms free to offload, I hope sheens perseveres with him

I have to agree about Shirnack, there seemed to be plenty of people out to bag Sheens about keeping him over Woods after Gareth returned, but he did go quite well last night. I though he was introduced at the right time to, adding some mongrel and aggression to our pack just when the game started to fire up a bit and our forwards were tiring a bit (and understandably so with Keith and Gareth resting in the second half). He did show a lot more footwork than I've seen from him in State Cup before, very good!

Ellis is blunted in attack as he is returning from injury but also he and Lui had a very good relationship on the paddock and it will take a while for Moltzen to fit into it
