Our club is unprofessional, how do you disagree?

Sadly for a long time now the media has had a vendetta against the clubs management, so we have been getting a very lopsided coverage in the media. Okay we have had our fair share of drama, but unlike most other clubs our dramas are pasted all over the media.

Of course when you have guys like Woods who are not smart enough to know they are being used and willing to dump on the club and feed these jurnos headlines what do you expect.

The media just want headlines and plenty of them, fact or fiction means nothing

Pascoe doing an interview on this subject will mean nothing and is a waste of time and be nothing but 'fluff'.

Manage the club, do your job and we will judge the club on its outcomes!

Woods says he expected to be a one club man, so how have we lost him? And he will be the biggest loss, he will be playing SOO and international football for years yet. And he was ours, and this stupid club somehow managed to lose him.

He had no intention what so ever to sign with us, none. The club didn't lose him, not only offered him a good contract but made it clear he had Tedesco were priorities.

He had months to sign, but chose not to, yet still felt the need to drag it out and make it harder for us to sign replacements.

Exactly. These things had no intention of signing with the Tigers unless they got everything their own way. They expected JT to sign and for the club to sign Wehbe and his masseuse. Once JT and Wehbe had their little tiff then the whole thing was a done deal.

The club has handled this professionally. This is nothing more than cutting out cancer. Yes it hurts but it will be over at the end of this year and the club should never allow prima-donnas to attempt to run the club again.

Just quietly, i'm not sure why Brooks is universally loved for committing. He had no choice as he had zero offers from elsewhere. I'm willing to bet he would have bolted too given the chance.

It is comments like this which make the club look unprofessional. Constant sniping at our players does not help the situation. Most supporters are pleased he has decided to stay but some people find a negative in a positive.
On wednesday i have no doubt Pascoe will try to set the record straight without bucketing Woods or Tedesco he seems to be a good administrator.

Im not trying to bag the guy, but lets be realistic. He's gone from the red headed step child to the golden child. Look i think he's a good kid, and i think Cleary will be good for him. But letd not re-write what we all thought of him in the off season.

Thanks for the clarification from my pov not having Moses along side of him next year will improve him no end.It is great since Cleary arrived that he has let Brooks take control of his own game and not let Moses run the show which JT wanted.
I honestly believe that under Cleary we will see the player that he should have been.

Heard he is on Wednesday night with the girls.
Going to be great to hear what he says. Personally I think its a great move by the club board and management to say little during the negotiations and finish it now its all done. Probably means Tedesco either leaves or back flips by then.
The media was calling the club for insight during this period but they wisely just let the little 3 hang themselves. At the end of the day the club and management and board won this battle because even though we had the media against us never since 05 have all fans and club been at one….a real unifying time, despite media propaganda.

Listening to Woods talking what a joke. At the end of the day if a player thinke the money which it wasn't or the opportunity (debatable) is better elsewhere thats fine but its common knowledge the club tabled good offers 6 months ago. If they don't want to be here why did it take 6 months and then excuses to work it out when they and the club could've moved forward earlier.

Anyway Pascoe should wrap it all up to our advantage Wednesday.

This ^^^^

I only read what Woods said this morning, and on what there was in that article, there was nothing to get cheesed off about, he was referring to what the club has been like for quite a long time . He's right about that. We've been a disaster. And players would be entitled to worry about the future. They also could be forcpgiven for not wanting to being tied up here for a long period before they knew if it was getting better.
What I read certainly doesn't justify all the venom . Especially when we don't have a clue how it's been behind the scenes.

It's a very real possibility Gunners. But he also may be the only one of those four with the ability to critically think and maybe he saw Ivan Cleary as the man who can resurrect his career.

Agree with heaps of things you say GNR but on this Jadtiger is totally on the money.

Yeah because the Dogs are completely devoid of turmoil

They wanted Hasler's head a few weeks ago, and as one meme floating around has correctly stated, he's signed a four year deal with a club that has a coach for two years. How about that stability, huh?

Wait until the cap dramas hit them too, they'll end up in the same position as Wests circa 15/16, possibly worse. The club has righted quite a few wrongs in the last 12 months, largely coinciding with a majority on the board. They are on the right track and there's a good chance that Woods will live to regret his decision.

When you're a club captain, you can appear committed without being committed. All he had to say whenever he was pressed about his contract negotiations was "My manager and I are awaiting final offers to be tabled and we'll assess them and make a decision then. Until then, I refuse to answer any more questions on my future as my immediate focus is captaining the Tigers." That's all it would have taken and most people would have been placated.

Carrying on the way he did, and laying the slipper in while he's still here and technically still the club captain shows complete lack of respect for the role that he accepted. I didn't think anything would top Benji in the Blues shirt, and Woodsy has blown him out of the water.

I wonder is Pascoe is professional enough to clean himself up a bit for the interview.
Unlike his earlier one , when both him and Go looked like they just got out of bed after a knight on the tiles , he looked completely unprofessional and Go had problems in staying awake, w

There you go again.

It's a serious issue Russ. Up there with players not rolling up their socks.

He could be wearing budgie smugglers and have excessive back hair, as long as he continue runs the club and back himself, I couldn't care less as to his physical appearance.

Notice how no one is laying the boot into Ava for leaving. Its all about how you go about it. He could have saved us weeks of turmoil and said he was leaving when Cleary was appointed. We knew he was gone even when the club pulled Moses' offer and made him and Tedesco a proprity. He lied through his teeth for weeks, then has the hide to complain about the club always being in the headlines. The club isn't, you are. Weak excuse for a captain, and dare i say, weak excuse for a man.

Let's get one thing straight.
Brooks may turn out to be an exceptional talent in the long term. May.
What we do know for certain is that he is a team player and will do whatever he can in the short term to contribute (important word) to the success of the team.
Most people are wrapped that we kept Brooks not so much for his talent, (as I said may be a bonus in the long term) but more so for his attitude which is exactly the attitude we need!
In this context he will be another key in the cog that makes the wheels on the bus go round and round.
His not the bus himself and I don't think anyone is expecting Brooks and Brooks alone to lead us to the promised land.

I think it is a good idea to put the Clubs side of the story. Intelligent people will take it in, those with agendas will disregard. Basically saying nothing didn't do us any favors with the Farah fiasco.

The club is stable off the field and has been for quite awhile. A new coach was appointed about a month ago. Woods wanted to know the coach and have a stable environment - he had this a month ago - did he sign with the Dogs before this or after this? Has he been stringing us along for all this time….darn right he was, Woods was always going.

He said in the interview that he had not heard from the Club for three weeks, what did he want to hear? "Oh! please stay Aaron don't leave us" every day. Woods had a contract that he could sign or not for over six months - he did not inform the club of his decision until about a week ago. Did not answer at the deadline date and was still saying he hadn't made a decision. Telling Porkies I'd say.

There was only one party that has been acting unprofessionally in these dramas and that was Woods and Isaac Moses (throw in Tedesco and Isaac Moses as well).

This should be put straight - whether the media choose to print it or keep rubbishing us, it needs to be said. We have nothing to lose.

When does Pascoe take some responsibility? Been there nearly 2 years and we're still boasting about how many members we have. He should've had these contracts sorted months ago, instead of letting these entitled players that we've bent over backwards for dictate the terms.

In its current state, the club is utterly unprofessional.

Remember Robbie Farah, remember how he was the source of all our troubles, and that we could only afford to keep the ' big four' if we got rid of Farah? Then remember how if we had to lose one of the four it was going to be Brooks?

So how did we get to where we are now? Moses going, Tedesco going, Woods gone, and the only one we've kept is Brooks! Woods says he expected to be a one club man, so how have we lost him? And he will be the biggest loss, he will be playing SOO and international football for years yet. And he was ours, and this stupid club somehow managed to lose him.

He chose to leave, for a reported $900k which is ridiculous coin for a prop.

He's replaceable… Teddy on the other hand

How does he get the contracts sorted? Put a gun to their head?

They pandered to them to get them over the line and they still left anyway.

There's a silver lining though. We've got a quality coach who won't take crap, a full cap to spend and we're ridding ourselves of players whom don't want to be here. The start of an exciting era for the club which has coincided roughly with a majority board running the club.
