Yep. Last year Tim took a more hands on approach to our defense and interestingly it improved out of sight. This is surprising given the Fonz cant make any good decisions. Maybe Steve Folkes was secretly giving Tim defensive plans.

I'm with you on that call Hybrid. There was too much sliding on the line and whether it was through poor communication or not having confidence in the players inside or outside each other, well it was just weak.
 
The whole attitude of the entire team immediately after half time was off….it was very bad, and very evident

It was like they didnt wanna be there, no hunger, fire passion...no nothin
 
We now have THREE first grade coaches on roster - Sheens, Simmons and Folkes

The only thing they have in common is that they won wooden spoons at their respective clubs before coming to us.

Idiotic Comments - The facts are this coaching staff has got us to 1 final series in 5 years, the following 4 years failed to make the 8, we then had a problem with our defense which the coach pointed out so took over. The media have noticed how crap our defense is, and if any team can hold possession from us we are screwed. We have a coach who signed John Morris to replace scott prince and came out said at the time he will be our replacement, then denied it and said we brought him for his utility value. He then tries to take the best 5/8 in the world and tries to turn him into a halfback and said he is our long term 7\. We lost our fatal attack when this happened, and said after one good game from benji at 7 that he will be the LONG TERM 7 and all the "fans" who were begging for him to go back to 6 didnt no what they are talking about. Then we have quality second rowers at best coming through the ranks, and he decides to give them a run as a prop then he moves on and has a blinder of a season in canberra (bronson). Our ceo leaves, we get a new ceo who wants to put KPIs on the staff and looses his job, any other job would have KPIs.

I pose this question to you all then, When would you be happy to win another grand final or make the finals to give our self a chance? And how long would you keep this coaching staff if it does not perform?

Sheensy and Royce have this year only. A problem if we scratch into the eight and they get a repreive. I will back them this year and if we dont compete in the finals then I will join the haters :smiling_imp:

I was watching from the pub so id probably have to watch again but on one of the roosters tries, they played it 20m out, we were on the 10m line, they shifted it 2 passes, Lui and Ayshford i reckon went forward just a metre or so and then slid and the Roosters crossed over.

I thought that was very poor even after having a few schooners.

If we extended his contract early this year which there was talk about and we finished 9th would you be happy? Can anyone else see this is not a wise move to do so?
 
Ok, so we can't be critical of 5 years of failure ?

Just how long are you people gonna cop this mediocrity ?

Sure "HE' is not the one missing the tackles or not moving up, be "HE' is the one who continues to buy these players and or continue to pick them without consequences for poor defence, which is roughly (on a good day) half of the game.

But sure, just sit back and defend the coach while we watch another year go by and nothing has changed.
 
Is Folkes involved with the defensive work at all ? He wasn't a bad defender in his day as a player and the Dogs had a bit of mongrel in them defensively when was in charge.

Folkes is our fitness expert, but then our team ran out of puff after 20 minutes on Sunday…

Did Tim Sheens design it? He is the epitome of mediocre. Look at his coaching record for example…
 
I thought the boys looked fit against manly, but who can argue against the heat, both sides struggled under the conditions, and i dont think we can say it was purely fitness.

I always jump on the what does royce do bandwagon, because our defense isnt the best on occasions, but hey, we can only get better!
