Our Great Start Slipping Away...

We went from 4 from 5 to 4 from 6 and now 4 from 7…

We were applauding the early season form which has now slipped to average, winning just over 50%. We are heading for mid-pack and I hope like hell we can turn it around against the Rorters.

In reality we should not have beaten Manly and Canberra….we got Parra when they were horribly out of form......realistically we should be 1or2 from seven.....a more appropriate position of this overated team

Just like the Benji injuries of the past…?

I actually like a lot about our play - dumb things tear us down, tho. Tonight's game against the Panthers was there for the taking... Second half completion rates killed us...

And leave us, once again, mid pack.

Not many excuses if they finish out of the top 8 this year. Especially now that 8 out of 15 teams will be finalists. At least we are on 8 points without yet playing a home game. (As in a game played at Leichhardt or Campbelltown).

Unless the Coach gets his head around things quick we will struggle to make the 8 even with Melbournre gone the inept coaching performance tonight bears this out for me.

the positive is we still have more wins then losses and TBH i find it hard to believe we can put together a worse performance then what we did tonight. if we get lui back or taumata gets match fitness i can see us being a bottom of the eight team, but with moltz we were a top 4 team for sure

Very good point!!!

It's a worry this season. I've seen some good things, i've seen some bad things but overall one thing is consistent with other seasons. Inconsistency. We killed ourselves tonight and as much as Penrith struggled to put us away they still managed to do so because we were poor when it mattered most.

Our position on the table is a huge lie in reality. We really need to improve fast. We're a long way from where we can be,

It wasn't as bad as everyone makes out. Sure we dropped a lot of ball and had a shocking second half, but in reality we only lost by 8 points to the team on top of the ladder.

The positives are the defence was great again and our attack will definately follow in the weeks ahead. We were always going to take time to gel after the loss of Moltzen and we will click very shortly - against the Roosters in fact.

Excellent points if we can get a fit Taumata or Lui to gel with Marshall we will be back on track sooner rather than later loosing sux,but to only loose by 8 to a red hot team with a team that has Fitzy at Half isnt completely disgraceful, I would rather face this injury crisis now that with 10 rounds to go at least we have time to fix ourselves.

After Lui got injured a fair amount of us were thinking Sheens wasn't going to slot Moltzen in, but he did and moved Ryan to fullback (probably his best and only good shuffle to date, moving Ryan to fullback). Then Moltzen gets injured, again people are thinking he's just going to do his usual players shuffle, but he brings in Lazarus and after 1 game, a game in which the refs just hated us, he falls back into his player shuffle routine. I thought things had changed, but last night showed they hadn't, it was only a matter of time before Sheens slipped back into the shuffle mode. It cost us last night and I'm over Royce controlling the bench rotation.

I totally agree. Yes it was disappointing to lose, but we were deadset horrible in that second half and we still pushed a good team in great form all the way.

There is definitely a resolve/steel about the team we haven't had for a long time.

Once Lui, Payten, Taumata etc come back we'll be fine.

 I've never read such dribble. Had time to relax a little a think more clearly yet?

yes it really sucks, losing.
could it be, getting out to a bery good start, put the team is a false sense of security?
now they realise its gonna be a hard battle each week, as they have no guidance/steering in the halves area.
in the off season there was a bit said about no excuses this year.
time to prove it, stop talking to the media, and let good consistent on field performances speak for themselves.

As a modeator I suggest you stick to the rules….run the forum and stop attacking forum members thoughts....you goose

Fact of the matter is, the Tigers are still in the 8\. The competition is close and despite the lopsided possession and huge defensive workload last night, the Tigers were far from disgraced, despite playing poorly in the second half.

The main issue I see at the moment is getting the right players in the right posiions. If Sheens is going to name Lazarus next week, name him at half and play him there, not fullback, not on the wing, but play him as a half and tell him to do his job there. Fitzy needs to go back to the bench. He offers zero in attack and is merely a stop-gap measure at best. Get Brown or Daniela on the wing. Ayshford and Brown at least look like they have an understanding of each other's game…Ayshford and Fitzy look like they do not want to know each other. And Ryan must go back to fullback. Last night was an example of why he's so much more effective at fulback compared to the wing.

The performance and effort of the players is good.

The coach is what is making this team lose. He is a disgrace.

How is what I said "an attack"? I just pointing out that what you said is totally ridiculous! I bet two weeks ago you were saying "How good are we", and now, after two solid (but below par) performances we should be coming last, have no hope and are overated.

By the way, by calling me a goose you have "attacked" me.
