Has anyone seen what the doggies are offering.

A season ticket to all home games in General Admission for $99 per Adult.

WOW!!!

A similar Wests Tigers package is $199

but you have to be surrounded by boofhead dogs supporters. and the GA at leichhardt gives you a better view than GA at ANZ …

but still ... very cheap

on the topic of memberships, i saw a nice little feature on the manly website. they have a link for "I go to most/all home matches" and "I attend few home matches/live out of town" or something to that regard. makes it alot easier for new members to navigate thru the packages. the tigers ones are just lumped all in one for us to read through.

Supply vs Demand!

The grandstands at LO/CS have been selling out over the past few years, it's only logical (from a business sense) to up the prices on these areas. WT are simply tying them into the other packages to make even more of a buck.

After all, wasn't this the point of all the upgrades to the grounds?
Upgrade the grounds/improve the team => Increased demand for premium seating => increased revenue from increased prices => increased profit from home games => increased ability to improve the team/grounds (and the cycle repeats itself)
Obviously it can work the other way too, but this is just result of the team as a whole improving on and off the field since the dark days of 2000-2003\. The leagues clubs arn't having to support the JV as much as before and we are finally buying some quality players.

bring it on

WT can afford to up the prices on these premium tickets because there is demand for them, and we are certainly on the path to becoming the **"ManU of the NRL"**

Good call hard to call you wrong. If I have to pay increased prices to see my team in the playoffs each year I will do this Im not talking about the past but the future and there is plenty to be excited about for Wests both on and off the field.

why are our grandsand seats $99 much more in demnd than bulldogs grandstand seats/memberships?

because there are only a few thousand (if that) grandstand seats at CS and LO as opposed to the numerous thousand on offer at ANZ. grandstand seats are high in demand yet low in supply. the only way supply and demand will equate is at a high price. basic economics. if there's a lot of a product, you can sell it at a low price. scarcity results in high prices.

2000 seats in the LO grandstand

wack $5 onto each seat for each game

$5 x 4games x 2000 seats = $40,000

a grandstand upgrade is a long way away at this rate, but the club shouldn't have to fork out the cash for ground upgrades… this is what Federal/State governments are for: furthering the public interest

thanks Alex.

I'm not really comparing those in the grandstands.

Why do our General Admin season ticket holders, those that are going to sit on the grass, having to pay $100 more than Bulldogs supporters who get to sit on a seat?

Why do our General Admin season ticket holders, those that are going to sit on the grass, having to pay $100 more than Bulldogs supporters who get to sit on a seat?

Because the fans overwhelmingly want to play more games at Leichhardt and Cambo, which means we have to pay more per head since the ground can't fit as many people. Especially the corporates who usually are the ones who pay the majority of the cash, effectively subsidizing everyone else. Hence why Leichhardt is building more boxes in their minor upgrade.

Plus, the running costs on the day are substantially more. The SFS was giving us money to play at their ground. I have no doubt that if we played all out games there, the costs would be around the same as the bulldogs.

the bulldogs have really pushed their memberships over the last 2 years. they have done a great job.

sad to say it but we are probably the worst club in the nrl ar pushing memberships. considering our crowd figures theres no reason we shouldnt be in the top 2 sydney memberships.

btw imagine being a dragons fan. their grandstand ST are $60 more then ours!

Tigers General admission SHOULD Be cheaper. Plenty of unused seats and room on the hill.

This will encourage some of the marginals and financially less afluent to commit.

Nothing better than seeing a full stadium.

whilst the bulldogs are cheaper, they only get 9 or 10 games at ANZ the others are played in Adelaide and Suncorp - there is your $100 difference - you have to buy flights to get to those games, which actually MALES OURS CHEAPER!!!!

Dogs 10 games divided by $99 = $9.90 per game
Tiges 12 games divided by $199 = $16.50 per game, which actually MALES theirS CHEAPER!!!!

The Dogs can afford to make their tickets cheaper. They are in an agreement with ANZ stadium like we were. They get guaranteed income per game regardless so the prices they set for season membership can be covered by this. That and the year they won the spoon and lost basically all their marquee players was enough to allow them to take a calculated risk.

We have to cover the costs of playing out of the grounds the fans love. This means covering the costs of worst case scenario assumptions of terrible weather every game and attendance figures reflective of that.

Our pricing is competitive and we have always tended to have good crowds but so-so membership figures. I think it reflects our fan demographic as well

Dont get me wrong, I think our members pkgs are great…16 bucks per game, cant beat that ( well unless you wanna watch the dogs at a rubish ground)
The club has got it pretty spot on imo with the memberships....a few teething problems last year which no doubt they'll sort out

When you factor in the flights and accom to get to all of the doggies games, which fans would like to do attend all 'home' games) it is much more expensive.

I believe the doggies members also get tickets to two 'away' games at ANZ Stadium too. Against Souths and…
