Many times your captain isn't your best player He is the best on field leader who can inspire the players "Do as I do , not as I say "

Mark Taylor was the perfect example of this

I don't know what you mean by Lawrence being a consistent backline player? I haven't seen it for a while. Leading into origin, year in year out, he consistently crumbles and gets overlooked, to me that means he can't handle pressure situations. If we talk about being consistent that only leaves us Woods and Fulton, and if your desire is to have a back as a captain that will leave us with no leader. And i agree with GNR, Utai is one of our more consistent backs.

…and Beau Ryan. In fact I dont rate rowdy as a consistently great player at all. He isnt rocks and diamonds like Benji, but he has a lot of games where he is very quiet.
After Robbie and Benji are gone, I would say our next leader would come from the ranks of the young guns.

That's the joke. He is not consistent, never was never will be. If he was at a rival club, he's definitely not a player I'd be chasing. For what he's on, at 375k, please.
